Rough night. He'll recover. I expect him to bounce right back next game.

Fair enough, but the same can be said I think for any of these rooks. Their teams usually stink for a while. I mean even Towns' Wolves aren't very good and he's putting up magnificent numbers.

Even though he struggled, I though he got into the paint rather easy against a good defensive team, also showed he can separate on his shots and have good quality looks, just struggled finishing. Once he works out this off season on his body and hopefully with a better coach he can easily be our leader in points and assist.

I was almost expecting a night like this. The kid is pretty much our only source of offense with all the injuries. That's tough on any rookie to have to carry a bunch of scrubs against a quality basketball team.

Not worried about the bad game. At least he was being aggressive. I'd rather him get 7 points on 3-16 than I would him get 7 points on 3-3. Ok 3-16 is really bad but you get the idea.

I really hope this kid puts in some hard work this summer. The talent is there but for him to reach superstar level he's going to need to be like Kobe and maximize every drop of talent his body can squeeze out. I don't know if he's that intense though. I see it in Randle but D'Angelo's more happy go lucky.

I think with a quality coach and in the playoff hunt we would see a different and less playful DAR. Scott ruined the season from the get go and screwed and blamed it on the young guys. Russell probably knows a tank is in progress. What is the point of being more "driven" this season. If an excuse is needed for him I'm more than willing to blame it all on Boron in return. Not worried about the kid. Kind of had a hunch he would "figure it out" like he said he would.... by Christmas. Had he not been torpedoed that's likely what would have happened.

Russell's 103rd three ties him with Wesley Johnson and Shane Battier for 31st most as a rookie. Up next: Brandon Knight at 105.

This will be a fun countdown as the season swirls around the toilet bowl.

Excited to see Russell play against Steph. Gonna be a great challenge for him trying to bounce back against the best player in the league.

I think Okafor will still have a solid career. Admittedly, he is very talented. I think we chose the right guy, but I do hope he lands on a better team. Philadelphia is doing him no favors.

I don't think B0ron would have done any Okafor any favors either, so yes I am glad to have Russ. I mean, I know Hibbert sucks on offense, but he can shoot jumpers, and we pretend like he doesn't exist, and Randle has to create almost all of his own offense.

No. But Okafor is still a very good pickup. A young Al Jefferson on a rookie deal. Russ is simply more talented.

Still have to bring up Okafor in a D'Angelo thread? Haven't Okafor supporters already admitted we were wrong?

Well how many times did people complain and complain after every game at the start of the season that we made the wrong decision? It's only fair. If people hadn't been so quick to judge after like 20 freaking games I don't think it would be constantly brought up.

What people are you talking about? I don't remember many people here that acted that way.

Admit it. You're just pissed you didn't have the chance to Photoshop Okafor into your avatar.
