I think his peak is going to be Monta Ellis with more size and athleticism. As he adds to his offensive game he's going to become a 20+ PPG player really soon IMO.
Yep. This is sort of what I see him as. Monta Ellis with maybe a bit more 3-pt range. The key to whether or not he is a starting sg on a championship squad or a sixth man on a championship squad will come down to his ability to defend. He is BRUTAL on that end. Remember that montage of Harden a couple seasons ago someone posted on Youtube of him getting torched? I bet if Clarkson was a bigger name, he'd have a very similar one right now. There really is no excuse though. Clarkson is an elite athlete and obviously a hard worker with the way his offensive game has improved. He should be at least adequate.
The difference being that I think Harden actively does not care about defense. I think Clarkson does care, he's just not good at it. Harden could be a very competent defender if he tried to be, but he doesn't. He hasn't tried to play defense since before he left OKC.
Looking back at that gif makes me think that Harden baited MWP. On topic: Clarkson puts out the effort on D, he'd be somewhat adequate but he is no stiff and can do a bit better.
That GIF literally brings a large smile to my face every time I see it. I especially like Ron's facial expression like he's in a kung fu movie or something.
He flirted with a triple-double, I liked what I saw. They kept saying Kobe is telling him to move without the ball more and I think we are seeing that. He had some nice assists, and he was the recipient of some great ones as well because he was moving without the ball. Very nice to see, the kid takes suggestions and he works on them, he's not content to just stay where he's at and not continue to improve and add to his game.
Honestly THIS is the kind of game that would make him a great fit next to D'Angelo. On any given night one of them can score 30+ and the other two young guys can get those boards and get those assists. That's a pretty great recipe going forward even if we don't add another big piece in the summer. I'm not sure I see in them Durant/Westbrook who can both be responsible for every point on the team. I see more Golden State in them as a team that's looking out for each other the whole way completely. Even just in the post game they all agree on the mentality of feeding the hot hand. They were all saying that same thing after the game which tells me maybe tonight you see Jordan go off and the guys will do their best to feed him and keep him going.
I don't know why no MRI just to be safe, but ok. Hope he's gonna be fine. Again, ok.. Kinda gave us a scare with exaggeration then.
Sounds like he was kept out for tanking. Oh no nevermind I'm sorry. He was left out for "precaution" even if we didn't give him an MRI to make sure he was okay. #notstealthtanking
I'm no doctor, but wouldn't you just take a look to be sure that you're not risking further injury trying to finish third-worst instead of second-worst?
If they didn't it's because it wasn't a really serious injury and they wanted to lose the game or they're wildly incompetent. I'm hoping for the former...
lol definitely checked out Go ahead and sit him out against the Hawks tonight just to be safe. Or do we need him to play to showcase his talent to Horford for FA.
He was questionable yesterday. I'd say probably not, but what do I know? I predicted 2-4 weeks before so maybe he plays tonight for 40 minutes.
