Awesome. That means we'll be in position to pick the next Kobe.

No. 1 task is firing Jim. The rest will fall into place once that happens, but we will never be great until it does.

No one believes he has legitimately tried to do either of these.

No. 1 has been, since the beginning, to smoke screen our ineptitude and prepare a scapegoat.

Byron should just shut the eff up for the rest of the season. He's going to get grilled every time he speaks because it's so opposite of what he's actually doing when he's coaching!

Anyone have that record where if Byron loses x more games he'll offically have the worst record of all time? I wonder where he is now.

He should end the season (and his coaching career) with it well in hand. We have to lose 19 of the remaining games to clinch that worst record ever for Byron.

    Hm... 8-19 then?

I think we'll probably win less games than that. I'm thinking we win 5 games or so in these last 27 games.

Yep ... and even if we keep it and fail in FA , it could be another season of tanking since the 2017 pick still would be a top 3 protected

The countdown is on. Byron needs 18 more losses to secure the status as all time worst.

During the postgame, even James Worthy said that D'Angelo needed to play more and should be in there to close games. Worthy and Horry also disagreed with that theory citing that Roy Hibbert starts and never finishes games either.

It's beginning. Even his buddies are finally calling him out. The Lakers know it's time to part ways.

That's exciting even if it's months late at this point.

Mike Brown, D'Antoni...every time I think "our coach can't get worse" the Lakers FO continues to prove me wrong.

I wonder how much of it is them noticing Mitch's VERY non-committal answers earlier in the week and realize they need to kind of distance themselves from Byron a bit so they aren't agreeing with the worst coach in NBA history who will be fired. Is it possible management told them to stop washing Byron's balls so much in the post game.
