That's my question too. They can't possibly bring him back after posting the two worst records in franchise history...in back to back seasons. I mean, I could see saying they're torn to give Byron some dignity upon his firing for the years he was a player here. Seriously, think about this...if they gave us all of last season's wins to replace an equal amount of losses for this season, we still probably won't be a .500 team by the end of the year. If the current paces hold up, there are two teams in the NBA that will have more wins this season than we have had in our previous 3 COMBINED. It's why I want EVERYONE gone. Ryan West seems to be a good judge of young talent, so maybe he stays. But for goodness sake. How does Jim keep his job through this? Why does Mitch deserve his job? Byron needs to NEVER coach again, even at a Junior High level. Philly is INTENTIONALLY doing EVERYTHING in their power to lose as many games as possible, and we are giving them a run for their money when we obviously TRIED to field a decent team.

If you are torn on Byron Scott, you should not be running a team. Please hop across the hall to the Clips or better yet find a completely different occupation outside of sports.

F.O. either is stupidly blind or trying to save face prior to offing Scott.

There is no reason to bring him back. None.

What would we have done without all of sirron's aggression and tension releasing Boron "Smilies" that say it like it is .....covering all his f***** up bases this season? No smoke being blown here .... they have helped!

So far among so many contenders this one maybe is the best and represents all he has done that was unnecessary to do and the ways that he did all of them.

You left one person out. Jeannie. I can totally see Jeannie being the softy here being torn on whether to keep or fire B0ron. If that's the case she needs to fire herself as well because she knows jack s*** about basketball.

A bit more playing time. Still leaving it open to jerk with them. I totally will not be surprised if when he starts DAR again the same day or close by he bumps Nance back up to the starters. It's amazing the horrible s*** that Julius has had to deal with in his young pro career. Horrible injury and season gone 1st game last year, rehab, minutes frustration for medical concerns in Summer League, but to then get to where he was just starting to blow up and crank out double doubles ..... he was doing it .... and Scott the a-hole started a nightmare of a season for him. Cost him All Star weekend. Cost Russell at least a chance to figure it out (which he was he was in fact starting to do, same time as Julius) and then be maybe in the conversation for ROTY. Who knows how good he could have been, same with Randle had they been given a great head coach and staff. Cost Lou Williams a chance to repeat as 6th man of the year. He'd have been happy with more minutes than he was used to, thrilled in fact, but still coming off the bench as a scoring machine.

I agree with @Weezy, I'm sure sure Jeanie is one of those on the side of giving him another year to prove himself.

Very true. Unfortunately, she is at the very top. No one can get rid of her. As a Cowboy fan, I have learned to accept the person at the top being immovable...unless they, ya know...go on a racist rant that is recorded by their mistress.

...sigh. Jackson had no qualms axing one of his favorite players from the coaching ranks.

This is really really good and can only mean the plan is the boot right now for Byron. Mitch has always backed the coach to the media even days before axing Mike Brown.

I don't necessarily see Jeanie being soft on Byron. Not with who her fiance is. Phil doesn't give a damn about the showtime crew or respect Scott as a coach. And not when she has openly said she will fire her own brother.

I'm going to have a beer.
