Haven't seen a dunk contest this good in years. Takes me back to Vince Carter, Jason Richardson, Dwight vs Nate, stuff we hadn't seen before.

Indeed. This is fun stuff. These guys are throwing down, no theatrics, first attempts, crazy dunks.

Wow, one step in from the ft line, between the legs?

It's a shame Gordon didn't get a 50 though on his last dunk, I wanted to see them keep going.

LaVine brought it home, but Gordon had the best dunks of the night. We all won getting to see this.

This is crazy on many levels. He jumps over the mascot, not with the mascot between his legs, but straight up over the mascot at waist level. Puts the ball between both legs, so he's in a sitting position, then dunks it.

Gordon got robbed. His under-the-butt dunk deserved a 100.

Gordon lost because of a max-point system. They should be ranked relative to each other from now on.

I've been saying this for years. If everything is a 50, how do you judge which dunk was better? It's a stupid system.

I think that was pretty much the best dunk contest I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot of 'em. At least in the past 20-25 years. Two guys that evenly matched? I'd have to go back to the 80s for that - Nique vs. Jordan, Larry Nance senior . . .

All I know was that just ruled tonight. Shoulda been a tie. Gordon was just incredible.

Great dunk contest, Lavine and Gordon delivered. My only pet peeve of the dunk contest is that every dunk is given a 50 these days.

Wrong guy won the dunk contest plain and simple. The two dunks Gorden did in the Finals were far-superior and more creative than Lavine's dunks. I literally haven't said "holysh**" to a dunk since Vince was in it. Taking that ball from the spinning mascot with one-hand for the slam was insane. The one where he literally was seated jumping over the mascot made me do the "OOOOH IM falling all over the place" move so many do to exaggerate the dunks. In any case, it was probably the best dunk contest in years by far.

Also, watching Klay beat Curry was pretty damn impressive too.

They need a new point system. Both Gordon's dunks and that between the legs from the FT line should scored higher. CRAZY stuff

Plain and simple Gordon's dunks were astounding, stuff of legends except not winning.

I thought it was the best dunk contest of all time.

Both of those guys are fantastic dunkers. Legendary dunkers maybe even.

Almost any other year, Gordon wins that competition. I'll put that right up there with Tracy McGrady as great, great dunks that come runner up.

Drat!! I was a schmuck as well and after reading about it here and seeing Gordon's over the mascot I was eager to see this. Too bad they shut it down already.
