That's why Randle's not here too IMO, 3 Lakers or not. Thank Boron for screwing up his progress and perception. Great as he's playing now, just think if he had been left in the starting lineup and just communicated with and really "coached"

I don't like that Booker played over D'Angelo....he just got added to the game too last minute. Although I think Booker is also a future all star like D'Angelo....Zach Lavine I don't think much of him but he's a second year player...man they shoulda done rookies vs sophomores that game would have been SO SICK to watch. Forget this world crap!!!

    Rookies:
    Towns
    KP
    Okafor
    Russell
    Mudiay
    Hezonja
    Booker
    Stanley Johnson
    Winslow
    Nance
    Turner
    Jokic

    vs

    Sophomores:
    Wiggins
    Parker
    Clarkson
    Gordon
    Randle
    Smart
    Payton
    Lavine
    Nurkic
    Mirotic
    Capela
    Hood
    Harris

Would have been an epic game....ugh

D'Angelo played well. He outplayed Smart by a wide wide wide stupidly wide margin. I like that he and Clarkson have some showman in them. I also like that on the biggest stage that either of these guys has played in their careers, they showed up and put out good performances.

He plays so smoothly. I love it. It's just unfortunate he got the short end of the stick when it came to minutes tonight. While it was a defenseless game, he seemed to give everyone the best possible shot to succeed. love this kid,

Also, if you watched the pregame NBA.com video of the USA team, JC and Russ were partners. Every time they went down the court they were supposed to pass until someone had an open lay-up, but they would just play hot-potato with the ball until they were back in line. They loved just messing around and not taking the shot which in a sense was a little immature, but also showed their connection to each other and the fun they were willing to have together.

It's sad how much negativity has surrounded Russell because we have a coach who doesn't know what he is doing with both playing time and when he speaks.

^^^ and Randle and to a lesser extent Black

    Guess what else

sabotaged besides Russell and Randle and Black's "normal" development, Russell's chance to be in discussion for ROTY and Randle's likely otherwise appearing with his teammates at All Star Weekend?

Lou Williams' shot at repeating as NBA 6th Man of the Year. But hey at least now we've determined he's physically capable of playing starter minutes in an NBA rotation, not to mention all those additional games we have won because of him being in the starting lineup.

Why do they even have announcers for this game? All they talk about is irrelevant stuff, and a lot of Porzingis. I just watched the first half of the Rising Stars game, and Russ came into the game, bombed 3 threes, went coast to coast for a layup, had a sweet up and under layup, and was dropping dimes all over and they mentioned his name like twice. It's like they didn't even care how awesome he was playing while they talked about unicorns. Same with Clarkson, they barely started mentioning him by the time he was 5-7 on threes right before halftime. This dude was the 46th pick and he looked like one of the best rookie/sophomores in the entire league.

Also, off topic for this thread, but the Cavs are morons for trading Wiggins for Love. That's a move they're gonna regret in a few years, if not already. Oh, and Smart and Payton had no business being in this game.

JC earned a B, I think, for launching too many threes.

I'll just say this: DAR is handling the mismanagement of his minutes, at age 19, better than I would have.

Hey Byron, he's the #2 pick. Not a 2nd round pick.

I agree with all of this. And the Cavs are already regretting that decision GREATLY. Their best lineup is James at point-power forward and Tristan at center. Wiggins on one of those wing spots as opposed to Jared Cunningham or JR Smith.

I've been on All-Star break since Sunday so I've admittedly not read a single piece of NBA news since then. In other words, f*** Byron Scott.

No of course not because it makes more sense to stupid effing Boron to get the needed minutes together with Clarkson and DAR by playing Clarkson the entire 1st quarter and then brain farting and bringing him back out to start the 2nd quarter. Swear to god! Start them together you Moron!

Not a great line, but I didn't watch this one. I think we're really not understanding how to use him. My biggest question is why Lou - the sixth man of the year - starts over him.
