That makes me want to swear so freaking much right now. I cannot believe what I'm reading. I hate BSPN so much.
LOL...I mean I can understand some people having LeBron over Kobe, I personally think both should be somewhere in the lower portion of the top 10. But Lebron at #3 and Kobe at #12? wtf?
This is just asinine. There's no f'n way he's number 3. Even a die hard cavs fan would have a hard time putting him there. ESPN must have some kind of contract obligation with Lebron.
LeBron #3 all time? That's insane. Especially considering we've seen Kobe's entire career and we have not seen how LeBron will finish his out. His athleticism could go and he could fall off big time. LeBron isn't 3, Kobe isn't 12, Curry isn't 23, this is a horrible list. I have no idea who's putting it together, but they did have an article with 5 guys talking about the top 5 of all time yesterday or earlier today and 2 of the guys I remember from it were Doc Rivers and Jason Kidd who had LeBron that high. That's a joke, I cannot understand why LeBron is being propped up like this and why Kobe is being disrespected. It feels like a best player at their position thing, so since LeBron is the best SF ever to them he's in their top 5, which is to me not how best ever lists work.
Yeah, I'm not sure I put him over Bird either, that's why I say he's the best SF ever to them. LeBron 3rd of all time is ridiculous though. 2-4 in Finals and shrinking in multiple big games and for entire series in the 4th quarter, called LeBronze for not winning with Team USA until Kobe came in and brought the killer instinct and righted that situation, going through a weaker conference in the playoffs his entire career, joining a superteam to get his rings instead of staying out and making it happen, never really being all that clutch, all those things count against him for me. Give me a choice between LeBron and Kobe in their prime to start a franchise with to win a title, I take Kobe. But LeBron has the MVP awards, because it's more of a popularity contest so I guess that makes him better? Whatever.
I'm 100% sure that LeBron is down the list from Bird. Bird was simply better. Better shooter, better rebounder, yes - better passer, better half court player, better team player, better leader, better pure killer, better in crunchtime. LeBron is a better defender when he is motivated, and better in the open court. That's it.
I like how the trophies are small, below the MVP awards and one is kinda hiding behind Kobe's arm. Actually I'm surprised they put them on there at all, Finals MVP instead looks better for LeBron as they're equal there.
My biggest gripe about the media always propping up Lebron being this "world greatest player" is never mentioning his faults but when its someone else they always have to bring them down. 2-4, is still, 2-4. And let's not get started on the flopping.
