Has anyone reported, or one of the game time reporters, that it's not a bad sprain?

I hope you're right and it's a light sprain. You could tell how much he was developing these last few games.

I'm glad to see Julius going. The kid is tough, gotta love it.

you won't believe it, but for some reason, my LP shut me out of the spurs game. so, the universe is conspiring against me seeing randle play well.

i posted something similar about 15-20 games ago. i think the difference is really what this thread has become about of late: porzingis seems to know how to play basketball, and so assuming individual skill increases (i think kp will get a three point shot, for example), we can feel more comfortable projecting success. randle seems behind on that front, so even assuming skill increases (right hand, midrange jumper) there's a ceiling dictated by a lack of understanding of team play on both ends.

as for jones' rebuttal above, it still kinda reads how i've seen randle. when the ball is involved, he's ok. it's the rest of the time that things are problematic. i'll be watching closely for the rest of the year, looking for signs of progress particularly on off-ball defense and offense. i hope it happens; because if it does, he has allstar potential.

I'll take Randle all day. He doesn't understand team ball okay hello look who's teaching him? Once we get Luke in here he will teach Julius and the rest of the team how to play like one. The kid's jumper is improving by the game. He's playing better on the defensive end. Better job helping. Not just trying to bull doze in the lane every time. Isn't being as much of a black hole. Porinzgis has had a good rookie year, but not great like a lot of people have made it seem. He's come back to Earth after the hot start in November. Randle had a rough patch there in late December and early January, but it's clear he's starting to figure some things out. Part of the reason I'd rather have Ingram over Simmons is because he's a better fit and it means we're keeping Julius and I really want too. The kid is already a double double machine and as he continues to progress he has the potential to be one of the best big men in the game. He's got things you can't teach. A lot of power forwards today can shoot, but not many have his power along with the athleticism and ability to push the ball and takes guys away from the box and use his quickness advantage but still punish them down low

Told people early on in this season that were writing him off once he starts to figure things out that he is gonna be a beast. I also think not being on the Rookie/Sophmore roster has motivated him.

It's a travesty that he wasn't picked to play in the Rookie-Sophomore game. He's better than most of the players that did get picked. Hell he's probably in the top 2 or 3 players from the last 2 drafts.

Ridiculous rebounding numbers tonight. 15 and 19 with 3 assists. And he was 5 for 9 and missed a couple chippies he should have made. He's starting to really get into the groove and remember he did this after that tumble he took in SA with the ankle sprain. GRIT!

Also second game in a row he's used that right hand to good effect. In the post game he mentioned he was working on it a lot and he's going to keep on doing so and using it in the game.

He was making jumpers, that was nice to see. If he ever starts making those consistently that opens his whole game up. The rebounds, loving that, because even if he isn't scoring some games he's still grabbing boards at a very high level.

Rebounds more than he can score?
No way he's part of our core.

Despite the TO's, he had a really good floor game. Good job.

Since Beastmode is riding off into the sunset maybe Julius can adopt his nickname because he has been playing like a beast as of late.
