concerned that despite following nba hoops for a long time, the names reggie harding and john drew mean nothing to me.

still, though, double doubles are good.

Yeah, he's starting to get better timing and knowing how/when to attack from different angles on the court. Experience and on the court time does wonders (looking at Byron)

I don't know Reggie Harding, but Drew was good - but drugs got the best of him.

Whew! That was a scary moment when came down on the camera man and turned that ankle.

Randle was monstrous tonight. Just gobbling up the boards, dishing assists, making spin moves, finished a sweet play with his right hand, getting a steal or two in the lane. Overall, outstanding play and effort. He's feeling it.

15 and 17 with 4 assists and 2 steals. Just a hair under 50% with 5 of 12. Sick game. Elite rebounding performance.

That possession he rebounded the ball, pushed it up the court, and gave Kobe the no look pass for the layup

I was drooling. Another stellar game from Randle, I also loved how he wanted to stay in the game when he rolled his ankle!

Exactly. With Bynum, he would get on those incredible upward trending performance "rolls" and get shut down by an injury. Julius and D'Angelo go on similar performance, "feeling it" rolls and get shut down by Boron.

I hope he does more of that going forward. I think Randle's nearly impossible to deal with for the opposition when he pushes the ball up court after a board. He's got so much Lamar in him in that regard. We saw more of it early in the year when he was a starter and sometimes I feel like it's a confidence thing for him. He seems so much more comfortable and confident since he was reinserted into the starting unit. Field goal percentage is up, scoring and boarding is locked in to double doubles every game. Keep it up Julius.

I love Nance and think he is a wonderful player to bring in when Julius needs to sit, and he should also log time with Julius. But it's clear Boron screwed up Randle's mojo and he's just now getting it back. Just like Russell. M effing Scott dropping them to 2nd string and cut minutes. But seeing Julius now ..... he is the higher impact player compared to Larry, especially on the boards. Holy crap, Batman!

Great great game by Randle. Too bad he got injured. That could set him back weeks in gaining back the great rhythm and feel he had going.

Update to the thread title, slightly smaller sample size but during the game last night they said over the last 10 games Randle is averaging 13 and 11. Those numbers will go up after this game, too. 17 boards! Against SA's front court of LMA and David West. Not too shabby.

Not to be hard on folks, but once again, when Randle has these superb games which he's been having more and more of since reinserted in the starting lineups, it's mostly crickets around here. Does this not dispel some of your fears about his "basketball IQ?" The dude was flat out balling out there. He was driving and kicking, making superb passes out there for 4 assists. And for those who say he doesn't set picks out there, have you not seen him set picks for Kobe? He's done it plenty over the past 10 games. He freed him up for a number of shots out there in the high post and three point line. Now is he doing a lot of pick and roll with our point guards? Well considering we don't have a point guard in the starting unit, and considering our coach doesn't like pick and roll, no he doesn't do much of that. This is something we need to develop with him when we get a new coach because it simply isn't part of the play book with Boron.

Maybe most people just didn't see these two stand out games (Clippers and SA) because they were on weekends. But the bottom line is the kid IS making progress now that he's getting the time out there to develop, even with our knucklehead coach. He also used that right hand again last night, btw.

Porzingis is getting a ton of press, but it's not clear he's playing better than Randle.

They need to move those camera men further back. That could have been much worse.

Great stuff, as always, Trodgers. This kind of puts it into perspective. The future is looking very bright.

its not that serious. i wouldn't be surprised if he missed one game but anymore than that I would be shocked
