You're not gonna rack up assists when nobody knows how to screen, finish, not to mention a lack of a shooting. There's been times this season when Russell has been too passive and trying to find his teammates too much. That's a tell tale sign of a true point trying to set guys up first rather than look for his own shot. At the end of the day I don't think it matters if he's a true point or a two guard with play making abilities. Look around the league. There's very few true point guards anymore. Steph Curry we know is an offensive machine. A 30 point scorer at PG which is unheard of. Russell Westbrook. Tony Parker. Kyle Lowry. Most of these guys all are scorers with the ability to play make and just making the right basketball play and reading defenses properly.

I just can't take this organization seriously at this point. We are allowing the complete mismanagement of our young stars in a completely lost season. We penalize the rookies for trying to take over, lack of defense, etc but will continue to stroll out the same veterans who consistently make mistakes.

We want to hit the home run in FA, and are selling point will be being a star vet with emerging young stars on the rise, yet we are not showcasing these kids and allowing them to learn on the fly in a lost season.

This coach is absolutely dreadful, but the front office holds this very big blunder more than anyone.

Russell remedying his lazy turnovers by...doubling down on the lazy turnovers.

although i do cut him more slack given that during most of the first half, he didn't really get to be part of the offense.

    which is super smart.

    because the lakers were winning.

er...because lou Williams was kicking butt.

er...because the Brandon bass wing iso is tried and true...

    I'm out.

Russell's slumping a bit lately. Again, I wouldn't be as concerned but with Boron's treatment of these kids I get a bit worried about their mental state.

So he's hitting the rookie wall and instead of helping him over it m, BS keeps pushing him into it.

That's exactly what I said I was worrying about. This coach is poison to the young guys. He absolutely needs to go when Kobe retires in April.

We can still tank without sabotaging our young players, why is Scott still here??? This is the worst coaching I've ever seen in my life & I'm not even exaggerating.

NO ONE thinks you're exaggerating. We feel your pain. Boron bites the proverbial BIG ONE.

It's incredible what Byron is doing to these kids. Whether or not Byron is the MAIN problem, he's certainly a BIG problem. His mismanagement of the young players is unbelievable. Someone break out the thesaurus. I'm having trouble coming up with any new negative descriptors for the job Byron is doing.

AKA he's learned as much as he can from a loser coach like Byron. Hey Lakers FO, wake up. Look at what your guys are saying, look at how the team is performing. Stop sitting on your hands and do something you losers.

i'm honestly just hoping the FO has planned this season to be nothing more than a tribute to kobe, hence why byron is still in charge

if byron is still here after this season, that's it. assuming we keep our pick, we'll have 4 future stars in clarkson, randle, russell, and whoever we draft this year (hopefully simmons). he's already messed with russell's head enough this season and with his ridiculous decisions, has shown that he'll only ruin the development of these young players. if byron isn't replaced with a coach who's #1 goal is to develop these young players, this team will be in deep sh** for a long, long time. but if the FO actually does the right thing for once, this team could find itself back on the rise very soon
