^ all fair questions my man. FO makes their job harder by sticking with b0ron. New coach and a new system could answer more than a few of these questions. I know Dr Buss liked to gamble... looks like his kids like it too.

I think much of the defensive issues is on the coaching. I notice that Clarkson gets wiped out on screens. It seems as if he doesn't know how to deal with him. I don't know how much of that is on him and how much of that is on coaching. I also noticed that Clarkson was helping off Damian Lillard which is also a no no for obvious reasons. One play in the 1st quarter Clarkson helped off of him and Lilliard made an open 3.

It's the coaches to teach our young players and when I look at out coaching staff, which one of those guys do you feel is capable of giving any sort of instruction? When Nash was here, you saw how much Clarkson's game improved. With real coaching and guidance, I think the sky's the limit. With these clown show coaches we have, the limit's the sky instead. At the limit.

^^ Very well said Juronimo. My feelings exactly. I see folks getting down on some of our players like Randle as well and my feeling is that he isn't coached well on either end. These guys deserve so much better than this it drives me insane. And to hear all of our paid staff, coaches and TV talking heads blame our youngsters is actually starting to turn me against the organization. It's bad for business. The losing, the benching of our young guys and the blaming of them is making us look like crap for free agency this summer. Coupled with this recent round of excuses for Byron and the possibility of keeping him on, they are doing everything conceivable to make us as unattractive as possible for the top tier free agents. The FO is blowing it completely right now. If they continue this course they are going to crash and burn this summer.

I am very concerned about the possibility that Byron stays on as coach. The front office is planting seeds with everyone that he's going to be back. If he is coach next year I WILL stop watching or caring about this team. I understand losing and having losing seasons. We have had several now in a row. But our rewards (Randle and Russell) aren't even being developed to get us out of the situation. At some point I have to look in the mirror and question my own sanity if I would continue to watch us get blown out of the building night after night. I mean, what kind of idiot keeps consuming a product this bad for this long.

Honestly, it's a good thing that DeAndre, CP3 and Griffin are just soooo unlikable as people. Because if the Clippers had a team that was as good as they are, but classy, the Lakers would start to lose their grip on the town. Fortunately the whole country hates the Clippers because of their constant crying and flopping and acting like they won the title win they beat a good team in February.

I've noticed the whole "helping off shooters" defensive scheme as well. Almost all our wings do it, almost like it IS the defensive game plan. As for defense on screens, I've noticed that there doesn't appear to be any communication from the bigs as to what side the screen is coming from, or even when. I feel that's all on the coaching.

I remember Rick Fox in an interview mentioned something about calling out picks as part of on court communication. Clearly we don't do that because man, Clarkson just gets obliterated on screens, like he got hit by a tank.

Also it seems the coaches don't adjust anything based on the competition. You would think the coaches would tell the guards "hey, don't help off Damian Lilliard" or something to that effect, right? Do they do any scouting of their opponents? Do they watch film? Do they look at stats, opposing FG% based on where they are on the floor, stuff like that?

Probably not, based on what we're seeing on the court.

And the adjustment is usually something along the lines of, "OK so when the Laker defender comes out to contest...wait a minute...there is no Laker defender. Well s---. I'll just dribble towards the basket and wait for the help to...wait. Where's the help? So I guess I'll just dunk this thing."

JC was pissed and frustrated in his postgame. I need this nightmare to be over. Byron please be fired when I wake up tomorrow.

Damn now Horry is saying "be mad at yourself Jordan." Since when did former Lakers hate the Lakers so much. S**t is toxic.

Well he pisses me off with that crap above so name calling, and yeah it is my observation that's happening, is fair game. Where are Horry's balls for sure. He never had a problem with calling out the Lakers organization for how he thought he was treated when they didn't move to resign him and brought in Malone and Payton, and I've seen headers for him having a story such as What Robert Horry Really Thought of Kobe. So towel throwing guy in the face of your coach, where's your unbiased opinion now. You can't believe none of this is Scott's fault. Just picking up a paycheck like Worthy now.

Biggest mistake was hiring the guy with friends and a history here. Just pathetic they can't even offer any constructive criticism of Byron at the very least and just resort to blaming the players along with Byron.

Just pathetic. It's sad that when the great Doctor Buss left us everyone associated with the organization lost their backbone as well.

Props to the youngsters for speaking up. I feel at least a little better for our future they are willing to have their own opinion on things unlike these former players.
