His rational and justification is not cutting it. Anyone with one good eye can see Black deserves PT. he has deserved it all season. He's a work horse who busts his a** out there and fits in with multiple players and schemes. Meanwhile, Scott has him picking splinters out of his a**. That's great to give him tape of Big Ben and Rodman to study and model his game after and to push him to that, but to expect that it of him now especially when you won't give him any f***ing minutes...asinine!
Hello McFly ..... rap rap on your thick, dense, pig head ..... Earth to the a-hole ....Earth to the a-hole! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...s-lakers-to-give-tarik-black-a-shot-at-center
Mitch needs to show that article to Byron. If he reads it and doesn't agree, use it to beat him over the head.
I feel bad for Tarik, man. Pincus has been on record as saying 'he's one of the most positive people I've been around.' It sucks that this has to be happening to a good guy that can help us on the basketball court. Sure, I know he's no savior, and he won't solve all our problems, but all I'm asking for is a fair shot. If you can play Kelly and Sacre minutes, you can play Tarik.
Or sirron needs to tweet the link to Jeanie to break her away from the pet dogs and babies in Lakers gear. You just guaranteed his money for this year, Jeanie, don't you want to have at least an inkling of a chance to have something good come of it?????????? Agree with ROFY above. Every other end of bench player on this squad has been elevated to periods of starting or regular minutes at some point this year, why not Tarik??
You may be right ...... http://www.lakersnation.com/lakers-...cted-to-be-traded-before-deadline/2016/01/19/
You mean the worst coach in NBA history was wrong about Black not being able to contribute unless he went Rodman on everyone? Surprise surprise
wonder if Byron has been giving Russell tape (and I do mean vhs) on magic Johnson, and being like "hey, try to do that, then I'll play you more".
Literally the only reason I tuned in was because I saw on twitter that Tarik Black had entered the game. I have a feeling the Lakers wanted to protect his trade value. Now that he's out it tells me there's not much cooking on the trade front and he'll start getting more minutes. Then this summer we'll make him an RFA and pay him to stick around.
Great game for Black. He and Bass looked good together. They really changed the energy level in the game last night. No he's not going to be the second coming of Rodman but sure better then anyone else sitting on the bench. Hoping his ankle is fine and Byron doesn't use that as an excuse to not play him again for a month.
He really did look good out there. No savior but so much more active and effective than Roy. He needs more PT just as we've been scratching our heads about all year.
