Yep last night turned me around too. I think Davis just has a better feel defensively than Hill does. Ed does a good job of intimidating guys around the rim. He gives hard fouls too. We just can't afford to be in the hole all the time.

I don't see why we can't run him at the 4 alongside Hill once Kelly comes back. Then Kelly and Boozer, and Sacre can pick up the scraps at the 4 and 5.

He's still killing it. He should be starting and playing close to 36 minutes per game. He's been our second best player consistently.

Yep. I'd love to see him get more consistent minutes. I know Boozer is the veteran, but he's been pretty much terrible. I'd rather have Davis's rim protection and solid shooting around the basket.

Also the insertion of Davis makes Lin more effective with the starting unit. At some point I just think Byron needs to say "this isn't working" and put in the best players, or the best lineup as starters. Wes is miserable and Booz hurts more than he helps. We need to stop the bleeding. Davis with the starters helps the D and the O.

Though I know you're opposed to it because of possible wear and tear on Kobe, I'd prefer at this point to start Ellington over Wes, and move Kobe to the 3. Wes is just giving us nothing at all. It's brutal. His D sucks and offensively he just doesn't do much. Ellington is hustling and making shots now. I'd just go with the players who are doing the best as starters until we get Swaggy back.

We don't owe Booz anything. He came in off the waiver wire and he shouldn't be given an advantage over others. If he sucks he should go to the bench. I'd much rather see him there at this juncture.

I was all for picking up Boozer and now I'm starting to regret it. Davis has been the main bright spot other than Kobe still being Kobe.

I just don't want Kobe getting seriously hurt again, that's all. I want him to weather this storm until next season, or even the season after if he re-signs, so that he can give his all with a team that's worth his effort. Playing against bigger, stronger SFs constantly makes me nervous.

I'll do whatever it takes to win though short of playing Kobe over 34 minutes. If that means starting Lin, Davis, and Ellington then so be it.

^ Maybe so we would have someone actually decent coming off the bench.

I agree and am all in for Davis to start. We will only win if we use put out our best time. We can't catch up the big leads generated by our bad defenders who start.

When we are behind from the first five minutes we default to Kobe time. This will not win against whole teams and will stop us developing any offensive chemistry.

Davis getting 30+ MPG & Getting Young back could make a huge difference for this team on both sides of the ball.. I'd love to see Davis start next to Hill in Boozer's spot.. He's obviously much better on D but he also plays very well with Lin & we need Lin more involved. This team can put up points if they have someone penetrating & getting them good shots.

Not sure I agree. How about Hill? Kobe also has been a pleasant surprise, for me at least. The number of shots he's taking is frustrating as hell and the D is bad, but still, he looks A LOT better than I expected him to.

Either way, Davis was a great addition and looks like a keeper. I agree with you guys that he should start

Boozer against second unit players wouldn't be so bad.
I'm really down on the Booz.

When Young comes back, that's the time to shake things up.

    Lin
    Ellington
    Kobe
    Davis
    Hill

    Second Unit:
    Price
    Young
    Wes
    Boozer

If not start, at least, the bulk of the PF/C should go to Davis, AND he needs to be on the floor to finish games. His help defense is too crucial to not be on the floor down the stretch, and his ability to finish in the pick and roll is another offensive weapon.

w/o Nick back, we should finish with

    Lin
    Ellington
    Kobe
    Hill
    Davis

    w/ Nick back

    Lin
    Kobe
    Young
    Hill
    Davis

yeah i forgot about jordan, him and davis have been the only positives of this season thus far

still think boozer off the bench would be a better idea. davis has proven that he's fully capable of starting
