    12 million dollars a year for 10 years for Calipari. :Laugh::Ha:

    He's done what in the NBA to deserve that? Is he gonna recruit the top freshmen to come play for him in the NBA? Because that seems to be his best attribute. The only reason you throw out a number like that is you don't want to leave your college job, or you don't want to coach for the Nets. Or both.

    If Byron is here next year, I'll have a very hard time watching my beloved Lakers.

    Yikes the guy in the canon completely overshoots his air bag for a hard landing in the dirt. That kind of ish can cripple you. Maybe he was. I'm thinking with Boron as the ammo .... keep air bag in same place and increase the height and trajectory. :Jacksnicker: Let's see how much grit he has. Coach has back surgery ..... Luke Walton shows up and takes over. He's got that scenario down. :Headbang:

    He posted a .391 in the NBA and sadly enough, that's still a big increase over Scott. Maybe enough to get Jimmy B's mouth watering. Hell he probably even has DVDs to show JB.

    Seriously though even if he was worth it, why would Capalari ever leave Kentucky, shorter seasons, more time off, local percs, he already makes an insane amount for a coach.

    Team is out rebounded by 15.

    Hibbert = 1 rebound in 26 minutes

    Black = 4 rebounds in 5 minutes

    I'm almost certain I'm about to repeat myself, but screw this guy, and screw the FO for keeping him on. How many blowouts is one coach allotted? How little development in his players is he allowed to get by on? How many times can a FO watch him trott out this "offense" and be ok with it? I'm not sure this guy knows much more about baseball than most people here, despite playing it professionally. Worst basketball coach I have ever seen.

    Well I think the problem also lies with the fanbase. We are certainly blessed with very knowledgeable posters on this board. But I wonder about the average fan?

    Like I noticed last night that more than a few people around us made it pretty clear that they were just there to see Kobe. They didn't even know who all the players on our roster were etc etc. So casual fans like that don't even know that Byron should be criticized. So maybe the FO sees the part of the fanbase calling for Byron's head as the loud minority. Still, seems pretty stupid, but that's maybe a partial explanation.

    The problem is we're still selling merchandise and tickets. No need to worry about finances this season, so the FO is in no rush.

    Next season is a whole new beast. They'll need a marketable star player and a competitive roster or they'll lose a lot of money, not to mention market share that they've been bleeding now for 4 years or so.
