Ask Kobe what were his defining moments of his career. I predict Randle making a hugh jump in the summer bucause of this bad experience year. No way he will let the media judge him as a bad defender. And because of Scott its out in the air.
ShowTime As obviously beyond BAD Scott is as a head coach in the NBA, with the beyond BAD handling of this semi talented roster this year ..... I find it hard to take you seriously with your take on we should look at it differently.... we'll see..... Scott will have proven to have been good for Randle's development, or anyone's development this year besides Larry Nance Jr.
Seriously why this sudden Byron vs Randle thing, the guy has done nothing wrong. Okay not nothing, but to single him out like he's the only one making mistakes is ridiculous. I really hope this boils into something bigger. Glad Randle is sticking up for himself.

If we as fans are pissed off with Byron, imagine what it must be like playing for the guy. I'm actually surprised there haven't been more attitude problems during this woeful season, given how many young guys we have on the team.
I think once they truly figure out he's full of BS, his fate will be the same that it has been at every stop.
With Kobe and Russell out, I envision Randle playing 12 minutes tonight since Draymond "He Can't Guard Me" Green will be busy dropping his 4th triple double in a row.
Randle needs to be quiet and not question the Byronator. Nothing good can come of that, and you can't win a staring contest with him.
I thought he played well in his bounce back game after the Boron benching. Looked to set up others, dished well, had a few nice defensive plays and boarded well. Didn't shoot well at all unfortunately, though. He looks a little off lately in that department.
I like that he's staying active and involved. He's clearly feeling the pressure from Byron to play within the team construct (whatever that means here) because he's been vocal about not shooting too much when his shot is off.
i only watched his first stint, but i think he really doesn't understand how to play team offense. he almost never cuts off the ball towards the basket--he's always moving away, to that 18 ft angle spot. i've said it before: while the wood's talking to his butt, he should be watching nance and taking notes. he could do that stuff (minus the high flying act) and be a much more efficient offensive player. right now, he's equating not shooting as much to playing within the team concept. i'm not sure those are perfectly correlated. kevin durant shoots a lot, but it almost always happens within the team's scheme. all that said, it's hard when your scheme is whatever the hell the lakers are doing. in this regard, i cut randle some slack.
^^^ Ron got a bad rap on that ..... watching it in slow motion you can clearly see he didn't even know he was there. Accident!
If you are following Jabari Parker, you'd think Randle is Steph Curry. Jabari was the no. 2 pick got hurt last Dec, he's back now after missing 10 months and looks really bad out there. Injuries and time off does take a toll on these guys play. I'd be a little bit more patient with Randle.
I don't think there are a lot of people not sympathetic to Randle's plight. He is trying to learn how to play real basketball on the fly, in the NBA with the worst coach in the league...by a considerable margin. Boron is killing the kid's development. Randle, despite probably being thoroughly confused and being jerked around, is still working his butt off and being active. I'm not too worried about Randle yet. I have changed my tune a bit as to who will be the better pro between Randle and Russell. I thought it was Randle for sure earlier in the season, but Russell seems to be adapting more and more to the speed of the game each and every time he plays. And he's making passes and setting guys up like someone who has been in the league for a decade.
randle's a can't miss rotation player because of his size, speed, strength, and tenacity. he just has a really long way to go in terms of skills and iq. some guys never get it. if Russell never adjusts to the nba three point line, he'll be a bench player, but his ceiling is super high. perennial allstar high. and he's closer to it than randle is right now. I want to hear from worthy regarding randle. I had hoped he'd be picking up some of the nuances of the game by this point (we're almost halfway through the season). there's just been so little growth in that regard that it's discouraging. as savory pointed out, this becomes more obvious when you compare it to how Russell has been adjusting and how Clarkson adjusted last year.
