I can certainly see the need for a big with soft hands.

There is no place for analytics in this game. I see everything I need to know. :Scott:

On another note, that's an almost unbelievable stat.

    Coaching moment of the year?

Lakers coach Byron Scott said that D'Angelo Russell only knows about 20 percent of the playbook.

"At times, he does know. Then at other times in the game, I think he has no clue," Scott said. "He’ll call a play for a high pick-and-roll and we’ll call it off. I’ll say, ‘No. Let’s do something that involves two or three passes.’" This might explain why Scott is so hesitant to let Russell close out games, but regardless of Scott's comments, Russell has improved a lot since the beginning of the season and it's possible that he finds himself back in the starting lineup after the new year.

I'd prefer the high screen and roll then the Princeton garbage we're asking the kids to run. Two or three passes around the perimeter and then Kobe chucks up a contested jumper. D'Angelo knows the playbook he just wants no part of that.

Until I see it I can not believe that we actually have a playbook.

It's just embarrassing. I hate the benching of the kids. If you are going to do that at least give them 30 minutes a game and not 20. It's absurd and it makes no sense given that we are losing these games by enormous margins. Let the young guys play if we are going to tank this hard. Otherwise the entire season is a waste.

Do something that involves 2 or 3 passes?

Oh you mean your pointless princeton set that involves 3 people passing the ball back on forth to the same spots on the perimeter and not actually creating any motion?

    That's great coaching.

"Guys, run one of those two or three pass plays!"

"At other times... he has no clue."

I'd just wish he'd choke on that damn foot that's shoved so far down his mouth.

"Other parts of the game are difficult for him right now being a rookie at 19, but WE will work on those things throughout the course of the season." Would it hurt to not completely s*** on our young guys at every opportunity? Everything that WOJ said in that interview is true and it's pretty sad the FO lets it continually happen.

Russell gets 0.73 per possession as the handler in PnR. That's only in the 45th percentile.

Unfortunately it doesn't show what happens when he dishes off the PnR.
