@Weezy called it. Our optimism after the Wolves game was completely unfounded.

Awful. I've run of adjectives, superlatives, and expletives to describe Byron Scott as our head coach.

I'd say "well if D'Angelo gets 20 minutes a game it's okay!" but so far Randle hasn't. I won't hold my breath.

Unbelievable. D'Angelo was playing better the last two weeks before getting benched and after rises his level of play even more and then gets benched again.

What is the reason to benching them? Randle goes for 5 double doubles in 6 games, benched and has two terrible games, barely played 20 mins. Russell finally put together a couple of solid games, benched.

There's no explanation, I don't care about explaining to us but when they ask Randle and Russell they say "I don't know." As a coach you need to communicate with them! In no scenario should Nance be playing more than a healthy Randle. Absolutely ridiculous.

I don't see how anyone can still defend this clown. If they are, I ask them, what's the point of this season? If it's to get wins, we are 3-21 during the easier part of our schedule. If it's to develop our three future stars, why are they benched, playing 20 mins a game and played out of position.

This season is a loss already. If we are tanking, there really isn't any outside of Ben Simmons that would help, everyone else is a project and we already have plenty of those. That's a lot of eggs to be risking for that #1 pick. Just develop the three guys we have, play them 35 mins, play Kobe 25-28, stop playing guys out of position and see where that takes us.

There's still a chance that Russ and Randle finish games and play 25 mins+, but we don't really know with this coach. I don't say the phrase "B0ron is in a gots to go situation" lightly as an overreacting angry fan, he really needs to go ASAP for fear of doing irreparable damage.

But that would be too logical @alarm1108... And B0ron is the farthest person from being A Vulcan if you get my drift.

It's just mind-boggling. I don't know what else to say about this guy. I really don't. I'm so sick of hearing all the stupid Laker arguments trying to defend the minutes situation for the younger players. I'm sick of it. I hate it. I want no more excuses. I struggle to think even Madsen would be this bad. At least he'd communicate right?

I posted this in the WMC thread, but what about Mark Jackson? He took over GOlden State when they were constructed very similar to our current team and made them real good to where Kerr came in and got them over the hump. His players LOVED him and his firing was a management thing.

I'm not a fan. I don't think it's a coincidence that GS got over the hump when he left, I think he was very basic with his offense and his defense was a lot like B0ron, "play hard!". GS became like the best defensive team in the league after he left. I see a lot of B0ron in his style actually, he gives a good motivational speech, he can pump guys up, but he comes up short when it comes to X's and O's. He's better than B0ron for sure, but we need better than that, we need someone more creative.

^^ Get out of my head Weezy! I wrote something very similar but not quite as eloquent in response to SG's Mark Jackson suggestion in the other thread.

You just figured this out now, Byron? Are you 5 years old or mentally ill?

Not playing Randle until 1 minute left in the 1st quarter is a terrible rotation decision.

Yeah even in a great team effort like tonight Byron shows his incompetence. Julius has no shot to establish a rhythm in one minute of play. Bring him in at the five minute mark. His minutes should coincide with D'Angelo. They both should be playing no less than 30.

In Byron's defense (ugh), he sent Randle to the scorers table with about 4 minutes left in the quarter. There just wasn't any stoppages to get him in.

You can take a foul or call a timeout. It happens a lot on other teams so they can get the guys they want in the game.

Julius and D'Angelo should come in together and Kobe should come out. Then you have a solid 10 minutes of gameplay with just the young kids running the show. Sacre shouldn't come in at all. It should be Russell/Clarkson/Young/Randle/Black in there so we have a young, dynamic, and athletic team out there.
