yeah, it may qualify more as a line drive hook attempt than a dunk attempt. lol

The only thing Sacre has going for him is size, and even at that he rarely uses it well. He reacts too slowly. Has no quickness. Moves his feet decently but rarely in time to affect a play on either end. D-League offensive skills. Same defensively. Gives us some minutes to rest others and seems to be sturdy. Usually sets screens well. I like the guy's personality, but as an NBA player, I don't get it at all.

Sacre is shooting 40% this season. I looked where that ranked among centers (Qualified or not) and he's basically dead last. The only players that are below him are...

Played less than 5 games - Lucas Nogueira, Adreian Payne, Alex Kirk, Ronny Turiaf, Clint Capela, Andrea Bargnani, Miroslav Raduljica

Played 10-12 games - Nazr Mohammed, Cameron Bairstow

None of them would qualify if we are looking at qualified players.

Getting to the qualified players - Matt Bonner, Pero Antic
    - Bonner has played 3% of his total minutes at Center, so he doesn't qualify.
    - Antic only player below Sacre that would be qualified

That black hole needs to quit shooting. Or keep shooting if you are on the tank.

Is there a question? Feed him the ball and get out of his way.

If we have the chance to waive him over the summer, I say do it. Love his enthusiasm, love that he comes cheap, but for a marginal amount, you can get someone much more serviceable than he is.

Really? For a 3rd string Center I'm not sure you find a player that's as productive for the price he has. He's basically a minimum contract and can provide spot starts of 10/4 and 6 fouls. What more can you ask for from a 3rd string Center?

He's in basically the same boat as DJ Mbenga was back in the good ol' days.

This. He performs to the best of his ability, works hard, has added to his game since he's been in the league, and is a good locker room guy. This is a guy I could root for, and he's cheap.

I'm in the camp of letting him go. Take a chance on another big in the 2nd round and see if he turns into a steal.

Rob has reached his peak. Black is the new Rob, use the extra spot to find a gem.

I think Black is much better than Rob. I'd play Black as our back-up Center and never worry about being outworked in that slot.

I understand letting Rob go to create space for another addition, but I wouldn't. We've got so many holes to fill that we can use that 2nd rounder to fill out another area of need like backup SG or SF. Rob for his price is still pretty valuable to me.

DJ Mbenga was a little more capable than Sacre. I mean, for what his role will be of being a big body out there for 3-5 minutes I guess he's okay.

I'm not trying to be a jackrabbit at all, I'm just saying I'd keep him. The only reason I would waive our Bird Rights to him this summer is if his extra 400,000 grand would help facilitate a bigger deal. That's it really.

Otherwise I just don't see the point. He, Black, Clarkson, and Kelly give us 4 viable bench options for just over 4 million dollars next season. That's pretty awesome when you think about it.

Me also thinks Sacre is garbage and does not belong in the NBA.

Not saying he sucks as a 3rd string player...but I would rather always take a chance on that 3rd stringer to be a young guy with potential, who might one day be more than garbage. When you are garbage in your prime, there is no benefit for the team going forward.

Hassan Whiteside is a great example of how a 3rd string player might go under the radar.

Waits patiently for gif/video of Rob trying to dunk and getting enough air for a dunk on a 8ft hoop. Pulls the net down and throws the ball of the backboard. No more Rob in LA please.
