Keep it up rooks. I hope all our young guys speak up and call things how we the fans see it. Or do you have to have 10 years of experience with grit in the foxhole to criticize something that isn't going right?

Russell just earned a DNP with Nick.

It's sad to see Russell, our rookie, having to call out Kobe when it should be the job of our freaking head coach!

Maybe the starters were starting to gel, and Byron sensed that, so in order to keep the tank going put inexplicable lineups in.

How else can you explain this s**t ???

Russell's about to become best buds with Nick on the bench for the next 2-3 games... along with Tarik & Bass

    DNP - "Anti-Kobe farewell tour"

But I'm glad he's calling them out in his sly, sarcastic way. Keep it up!

I'm at a loss for words with Byron at this point.

back to Russell: even the raps announcer noted his passivity in the first half. this is a season-long trend with him. what would his individual production look like if he was in attack mode from start to finish?

also, someone needs to show him what a defensive stance looks like. he's standing too straight, and it's why he gets burned so often. I don't understand how guys get to this level and don't do that right. randle does--at least when he's on the ball.

I like that Russell's comments are becoming less PC and more "f*** Byron."

I don't agree with this at all. While Russell seemed passive in the first half...he only played 9 minutes. When he came out in the second half, he was noticeably more aggressive..probably because he was still adjusting to coming off the bench...also, you have to realize that he was actually playing off the ball with the 2nd unit...luckily he became really aggressive and got 9 points in the 2nd half. Also, he was D'ing up on Lowry in the 2nd half...I didn't see Lowry score on him at all.

Russell has actually been one of our better defenders...not saying much but he's miles ahead of clarkson and lou..and pretty much anyone on the perimeter not named MWP.

Russell has a trend of being too laid back. He doesn't come out of the gate going to war. Thats disturbing to me.

Nevertheless playing him with Huertas is as stupid as it gets. Worst defensive tandem and both need the ball to be effective.

It's comical and beyond maddening at the same time to see Russell relegated to standing at the sideline waiting for a pass from our PG of the future. Of course it would be equally so to see Huertas who's such a deadeye shooter doing the same with Russell handling the ball. Genius of Boron to play those 2 together when Nick Young could be in at the 2 spot.

I just think that's his demeanor. Looks calm, similar to Tim Duncan. But I think the fire is there. Tough being the QB when all you're expected to do is hand off to the old RB.

His face last night when being interviewed about bring benched was funny. When he said it was "cool" and that he has to trust coach and do whatever he says he made this face, like he was about to roll his eyes and didn't believe what was coming out of his own mouth. These players can say all the right things, but their body language tells the truth, Russ clearly thinks very little of B0ron.

Also, the fact that Byron has Russell questioning himself as a player makes me furious beyond words.
