Between our 3 youngsters, I am most excited for Randle. Not to take anything away from Russell or JC, but dynamic guards in this league are just more common. The combination of his size, skill set and explosiveness is so unique. The aggression (hopefully) is starting to be more consistent, and if he picks up more defensive prowess from the likes of Artest... boy, look out. He can be a very special player in this league.

What both Randle and Clarkson have is that attack mentality... Both play with a chip on their shoulder. Russell is more cerebral...likes to set the table for his teammates on the floor. We can only hope all three stay together in good health with another capable addition.

Clarkson is not Alpha though, and Randle is. I see that as a really good thing. Don't need too many chiefs, and not enough Indians. Randle needs to continue to develop though.

yeah the way he walked off the floor early in Philly and then how he sounded in the locker room after. You knew he was coming out against WAS with a different mind frame and intensity

Not great. Julius must miss being guarded by Jared Dudley. Them big Hawks boys kept him ineffective.

Meh Julius is a rookie. He's gonna have nights like this. He'll have his ups and downs. Just part of the growing process. Probably good for him anyway to have some struggles along the way.

I'm glad he was able to recognize the mismatch in Washington and took advantage of that. Now to grow he needs to find how he can play like he did in Washington but in Atlanta against guys as big and strong or bigger and stronger than him.

Didn't watch the game, but you're talking about one of the top front courts in the game. Milsap and Horford are big, strong, and mobile. I expected Julius to struggle a bit.

When Curry shoots his teammates start running the other way.

When Kobe shoots, his teammates crash the boards.

11.5 ppg 9.1 rebs are impressive rookie numbers. Concentrate more on rebounding Jules

Concentrate more on rebounding? That's been his one elite strength so far this season.

He needs to concentrate on rotating defensively, challenging shots, and moving the ball quickly.

Yes, this here. Randle goes ISO overload. He needs to get better at moving the ball. I wonder if the coaching staff talks to him about that but I doubt it.

The guy is a rook he won't be doing those without other facets of his game suffering. Play to his strength which is rebounding and wait for other skills to develop.

Guess 4 double doubles in the past 5 games gets you demoted to the bench, who knew?

This is almost worse than Russell's demotion to me because of the reason given. Energy?? ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME? Randle, the most hard working kid on the glass for our team, is the reason we have no energy?

    Right.

Pretty nice game for Randle, don't know exactly what you have to do to be a starter for us. Maybe average a triple double?
