Look, I don't use the cancer analogy often, almost never, but B0ron is a cancer. And when you have cancer you cut it out.

Here's a stat for you. Most games under .500 in USA professional BB history:

    1. Kevin Loughery 94
    2. Bill Fitch 81
    3. Byron Scott 80

Agreed. This is now hitting critical mass. He's becoming a toxic force and that's unacceptable. He was brought here for a simple job (to make guys play hard and emphasis winning/teamwork) and he has done the opposite.

To hell with professional optics. He needs to go. I think we end the trip in San Antonio. I probably leave him there or give him the Kiffin when they get back to LA.

So Byron was literally one of 3 favorite Lakers of all time. Now I hate him more than Smush. Kobe is so unbelievably bad right now, yet Byron allows him to hoist and hoist with impunity. Since his "throwback" game he is 6 for 34. I mean, it's disgusting.

Some trends. I just Googled "X fire Byron Scott," and I took the first articles to come up:

    The Nets
"It happens to almost every coach eventually: Your message isn't well received and taken onto the court," team president Rod
Thorn said at a news conference announcing the change.

"They decided another voice needed to be heard in the locker room."

Scott's status was made even more tenuous by persistent reports that he lacked the support of Kidd, who berated Scott after an embarrassing 110-63 loss in Memphis on Dec. 13.

Kidd, and forward Kenyon Martin, also took issue with Scott's coaching moves during last year's Finals, including how the coach used former Net Dikembe Mutombo against San Antonio and his reluctance to call for double teams on center/Finals MVP Tim Duncan.

    Scott calls Kidd an a-hole:
He’s kind of known as being an a--hole,” Scott told reporters on Wednesday.

    The Hornets
The firing is the second major move that the Hornets have made since the end of last season in an attempt to reverse their recent slide and ease the growing frustrations of star guard Chris Paul, although sources close to the situation stressed that Paul has remained a strong Scott supporter.

"I felt like, maybe somebody would have at least consulted with me and asked how I felt before it happened," Paul told the New Orleans Times-Picayune after Scott's firing was formally announced. "It's not to get my approval, but we feel we should know about the decision before it takes place."

"I just think that we had gotten to the point where things that we were doing just weren't working, weren't being effective," Hornets forward David West told local reporters.

Saying that the Hornets "needed to try some new things," West added: "Amongst the team I think there was a sense [that] a few guys weren't trusting what we had in terms of our system and our ability to know what we were going to get every single night from our system."

Said Weber in explaining Scott's dismissal: "It goes back to our performance last year. Obviously you see habits forming. You don't want to see those habits re-form when you bring in new guys. You're hopeful through training camp, you're seeing signs of hope and glimmer, but again, the body of work has to come together in a way that you see progress and we saw that gap actually growing. We saw frustration throughout the organization."

"That's the thing that's killing us right now," Paul said last week. "We can't stop teams. That's one thing coach always says: offense, that'll come night in and night out, 'cause we play 82 games. But if we defend every night, we have a chance to win every night..it's communication. I think our biggest issue is trust. Trust. 'Cause when you're defending a guy, you have to trust that your teammate has your back. And we can learn. We can learn from teams like the Spurs, like the C Bags."

"I can't put my finger on it, but we've got to find a way," Paul said (sounds like DAR?). "We've got guys that have been in this league a long time. We've got a nice little nucleus that's been here for a while. These are issues that we probably shouldn't be having."

    Cavaliers
"We're looking for someone with proven success, looking for someone who has a strong defensive system, someone who is a teacher, grinder and a worker."

"Although we saw progress with young individual player development, we did not see the kind of progress we expected on the team level this past season.

And we had to interview him 3 times before hiring him. You'd think we did our homework during the time but the Laker glasses were on.

And you can add this stop to that list of people saying the SAME things about him. He hasn't changed one bit and the problems/issues have followed him wherever he goes. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck.....

    WAKE UP FRONT OFFICE.

Wow forgot all about Shaw. Did he totally get a raw deal from the players or was he also mediocre with his Xs and Os and job in Denver. Why did he lose the players. I know he and Andre Miller had an issue. Was it his minutes mainly or they did not see eye to eye on how Brian wanted him to play?
