Guys, cut him some slack. LeBron is tired.

So Heat fans are mocking the player who heavily contributed to bring them 2 rings and in response this player is showing them the 2 rings he won with the Heat

Both parties took a huge L here :rofl::rofl:

Yeah I don't like to defend LeBron, but of course he's tired. 5 Finals in a row, very few regular season games missed, deep playoff runs every season. He's human. He may get "special medicine" down in Miami, but he's still human. Miami fans are awful, they don't even deserve the rings they got, so many other team's fans would appreciate them more. Cleveland would kill for one.

I'm falling for no narrative at all.

I think you guys are missing my point: LeBron's time on top is over. He's no longer the best player in the NBA and he's no longer good enough to carry that team to a championship. I have always predicted he'd age swiftly with his game based so much on athleticism and that time is now. Sure he'll make a deep playoff run and sure he might make it to the Finals another time or two, but he's not winning anything with that team as built. They are not enough.

Lebron would have this team of ours in contention for home court advantage in the first round.

he will unfortunately. Just got played and scored too many pts his first 1-2 years while Kobe was not getting the same opportunity when he came to NBA.

I don't wish injury on anyone, but if Father Time is always right and undefeated he should be making his way too Lebron in the next couple of years.

If Popovich was the coach of Cleveland, he's already be scaling down Lebron's minutes, and possibly holding him out of the occasional back to back. He did that with Duncan when he was Lebron's age. If Cleveland is trying to preserve Lebron, that would be smart. Unforunately our triumvirate of coaching incompetence doesn't believe in stuff like that. Yeah let's play your 37 year old superstar 37 minutes. Yeah lets play our 34 year old superstar 48 minutes 5 games in a row or whatever it was until he breaks.

Hoping Kobe finds a way to add 1,000 to his total this year just to keep inching the total higher.

    Note from this year:

This is Kobe's season totals below. He reached 25,000 in the season he was 31 years old. He only had (3) full seasons after that to add to his total.

    Kobe.png

    Lebron's stats below:

The last five years he has averaged 1932 points a year, and that is down noticeably from the previous 5 years. He's on pace for about 2,000 this year.

    Lebron.png

If Kobe manages to stay relatively healthy and score 1,000 points this season, he'll have about 33,452 total points. If Lebron completes the year with 2,000 points, he'll be about 26,913 total points.

33,452 - 26,913 = 6,539 points behind. He's easily within 4 years of catching Kobe (1634 pts per year), putting him at 35 if he stays relatively healthy. I'd say if he is managed properly, it is very realistic he will pass Kobe before he is done. Kobe put up 2133 points at 34 years of age, so this is not at all unrealistic. For perspective, that's 22 pts a game for 74 games a year.

The all time points record with Kareem at 38,387?

After this year, if he ends up with about 26,913, he'll need to play at a high level for another 7 years. Doable. Never wanted Lebron to catch Kobe on career point, but you never know what will happen. I always thought Tiger would catch Jack Nicklaus in majors, and then *poof*. He lost his game.

This might happen to Lebron, because he can't get any help in Cleveland. And Damn, Cap's career numbers are impressive. Malone could have caught him if he decided to hang around, but it wasn't important to him.

I'm not sure LeBron is going to catch Kobe. I don't think he will be as effective at 34/35, not able to get to the hoop as much, and he still isn't a good shooter. Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but his decline has already started a little, and if he keeps making trips to the Finals every season he'll wear out even faster.

Just incredibly lucky how he's never had any serious injuries before. Has he ever even turned an ankle? lol

C'mon the elbow and cramps?! Worst injuries any player in any sort has ever faced. Most players would keel over from half that.

He also sat out at least one game with a "sore finger". He's a warrior, but he's also smart enough to know when not to push it. Sore fingers can lead to snapped achilles, just look at Kobe. But yeah he's been incredibly fortunate with injuries, no joke. That and his PED's have to be the best money can buy.

Honestly records are meant to be broken. I wouldn't care too much if LeBron passed Kobe. LeBron's legacy is set already: 2-4 in the Finals. He'll never have as many rings as Kobe unless he starts ring chasing this summer.

What? Didn't you hear? It's not 5 to 2, LeBron already caught Kobe because Kobe only has 2 rings as "the man" and so does LeBron. Kobe's first 3 rings don't count anymore. Also, LeBron only needs like 1 more to catch MJ, because he's already pretty much right there with him and has done so many great things, and in today's league 3 is about the same as 6. ESPN didn't teach you this already? Also, Duncan's career and rings are better than Kobe's too even though Duncan hasn't been the best player on his team in like a decade.

Yeah I forgot my bad. Also Reggie Miller has more win shares than Kobe so Kobe isn't in the Top 20 All-Time.
