I thought they overachieved last year. Now they're showing their true colors, a mediocre team with nowhere to go.

Wow, wasn't expecting that. But yeah they suck this year. Offensively, they can't get threes and can't figure out how to incorporate Lawson, defense is even worse even with The Big Baby inside.

I never thought he was a good coach. Not sure how he's lasted in the league as long as he has.

Super well liked around the league AND he was the perfect vassal for the FO. Interesting move and it was only made because the team literally turned on him and were ignoring him the last few weeks.

Never liked him though. He'll probably run back to Minnesota or Boston for a FO position. Maybe even do some analyst work so he can collect two paychecks for a while.

my friend and I (who both cannot stand the rockets) were gleefully discussing their troubles last week when I admitted that my fear involved them firing McHale and getting a coach and system that better suited their star players. I'm still not sure it happens, as morey was really dictating on-court matters, imo (McHale didn't run this bs in minny). but morey couldn't fire himself. I shudder to think what jvg could do by simply bringing 1993 back with harden's ft-drawing and howard's basket protection. rockets winning 60 games a year scoring 88 ppg (with 15 of them on harden fts). ick ick ick.

    gotta shower.

I think they'll hire Scott Brooks. He won a championship there and he coached James Harden.

Wiley hinted on ESPN710 that Harden is a real party guy instead of a get in the gym kind of guy.

I don't like McHale, but I think he got a raw deal this year. Definitely not worthy of being the first coach to get canned. I'm looking at you Scott! When one of your players is very difficult, won't put in the work when he's not on the clock, and alienates everyone and the other is already a self proclaimed champ and only cares about smiling and having fun...it's going to be tough for any coach to find a balance. They're a bit of a mess right now.

Thibs would be a horrible selection. Dwight and Harden want no part of his practices.

Can you imagine those two after one of those practices? They'd be begging for McHale to come back. :D
