    That tweet and stats is obviously why you HAVE to sit JC/DAR and get the vets out there. It's absolutely why Lou should be playing from halfway through the 3rd quarter until the end of the game. It's a clear reason to put Bass at center.

    Great strategy if you are trying to......

    Maybe the stealth tank really does continue. Bad strategy if you want to attract any free agents when you have a ton of money to spend this summer.

    Or maybe Byron really is this bad.

    (Reposted from WMC thread) OK I guess I am finally going to chime in in the thread I created. crazy.

    I, like many of you, am done with the Byron experiment. This team has too much (albeit raw) talent to be 1-7. As an optimist I picture us fighting for 6-7-8 in the West with possibly not making it. I didn't think we were going to be a Champion (secretly I wish) or anything like that but a respectable team that would win a lot more games than last season for sure. Only being able to watch 3 games so far this year I have seen enough to understand that the coach is incompetent at best. There is absolutely no reason for how this team is playing especially with guys who are fighters. Unlike everyone else I don't care if Kobe takes 20 shots I do care if every one of them come off isolation plays. Watching all of our shots come from ISO plays makes me want to punch a baby which I believe is wrong. Mitch and Jim have done a great job in rebuilding this team with young talent and a bright future they deserve a ton of credit for that BUT it is time to cut the cord and ax Byron. Total disgrace seeing what we are doing. ...

    OK back to my Optimism.... Raiders and Kings are playing well :)

    Drawing up plays? Coaching during games? Who needs that, that's what practice is for. Coaching and player development is all done in practice, duh.

    Our pre-season camp/practice = scrimage aka unorganised 5 on 5 and suicide drills. BS is awesome.

    I have a new theory, and it gives me a measure of respect for Byron I didn't have before.

    The Lakers are paying him 17 million over 4 years to suck. They have asked him to confidently and arrogantly do a horrificly terrible coaching job, sacrifice all future earnings as an NBA head coach, destroy his credibility, ruin his favored and respected name as a coach and player/former champion, all for a sum of 17 million.

    Byron is the ultimate team player, and he is having his strings pulled from a higher level. There are some people in the know who spin any glimmer of hope as a positive sign to help deflect criticism.

    If you cut Byron open, he would bleed purple and gold. Quite simply.......

    BYRON IS THE ULTIMATE LAKER

    I'm going try and hold on to this thought for a few days to help make sense of what I'm seeing. Don't burst my bubble.
