Another "Michael is untouchably the greatest" guy wrote that article too. Yikes. Someone send this dude some facts on Kareem.
I had a really long diatribe about my hate for LeBron here, but I realized I shouldn't devote any effort to replying when the writer of the article obviously didn't put any effort into the article.
^^^ Especially when 2003 was in the middle of Kobe's most prime years. LBJ, who at that time had no polished moves or footwork in the post and no consistent outside shot..... and became Ant Man in pressure moments.
What? From 03 to say '12, Kobe was the best player in the NBA. From 08 to 12, its debatable but c'mon.
C'mon now, you know LeBron will be the best player in the world from 10 years before he was even drafted, to about 15 years after he dies. After that it's a tie between robot Michael Jordan and LeBron.
Is it official yet? Can we say Labronz is no longer the best player in the NBA? I don't see him in the top 5 in any category while Curry is top 5 in multiple categories.
I think it needs more time. 8 or 9 games of Curry isn't enough to make me say that. You know I don't defend LeBron, and he's definitely at the start of his decline, but he's been to 5 straight Finals plus international play and has a bad back. It was inevitable that he'd be not quite as good this season, because that is a LOT of basketball. That he hasn't suffered some bigger injury than sore back or needing rest is amazing to me. I need to see Curry all season, and some other players too, but no LeBron isn't the best in the league at this moment, very, very early in the season, yet he's still clearly great and one of the best. He will start to slowly decline now, especially with a game based so much on athleticism and power, and we knew that was going to happen years ago at some point because of how he plays. Like with Wade and Iverson how they went to the hoop with reckless abandon and hit the floor hard constantly, abusing their bodies.
Lebron actually looks better right now than he did at the beginning of last season ... His outside shot is broken though
Well if Curry keeps this pace up, he's clearly the best player in the league and its not even close. But even if he comes down to last year's play a bit, I still think he's better than Lebron now. Lebron has declined, a small amount, but he has declined.
It is amazing that if Lebron was doing what Curry is doing right now the internet would break. Add to that the conference and ESPN would petition the Gov to rip down the Statue of Liberty in favor of Lebron. Lebron will go on a run of great, great games because he is a great player and all we will hear is how is the MVP favorite over Curry. Right now Curry is playing like the best player in the game and making it look easy as a pick up game and his team is undefeated too. I am impressed.
LeBrawn's athleticism is starting to fade and he hasn't developed a refined set of skills to lean on like a consistent outside shot or counters or footwork. He is still great in a way just not that overwhelming.
Hey that was legit. He was cold in Cleveland and went and sat in the sun in Miami and it improved his outlook. We all saw the results.
