There's tough love and then there's just plain stupid.

Tough love is telling your #2 pick to do something better after correctly doing it.

Plain stupid is saying you have no thoughts of playing him in a blowout. He's clearly a moron and this is more egg on the face of the FO. All the FA want to come to LA right Byron?

Nah not with you at the helm.

Oh look... Fisher also played Porzingis - A ROOKIE - in the fourth in a close game against the Raptors.

    What are we doing again???

Why in God's name are we still running this offense? It doesn't work not for a young team especially. It didn't work in 2012 with a veteran ball club. I do like some of concepts like the motion action and screening, but it's too slow developing.

Especially for a team with youth and athleticism they need to be pushing the ball. Not playing half court basketball. We need to be getting into our offense quicker. As we've seen time and time again both Jordan and D'Angelo are very effective in screen and rolls. Need to be posting up Randle and let him either post up or drive and get him closer to the basket.

Russell is too gifted of a play maker to not put the ball in this kid's hands and allowing him to make plays and get his teammates easier buckets. We made our run in the second quarter when we were getting out on the break. There are a lot of superior athletes on this roster. Use them. Get the f*** out Byron and take this Princeton b******* with you.

I used to argue that D'antoni was being unfairly used as a scapegoat. I'm trying to keep that in mind and wondering if we're just not a good team and Byron is taking the fall. But I really don't think that's the case. We're raw, but the roster has talent, youth, and athleticism. I don't expect to make the playoffs, but we can be doing so much better. It's not even the losses that are hurting. It's the way they're happening. I actually trust the talent on this team and I think that an elite X's and O's coach could get a lot more out of them by making them buy into a specific well thought out offensive scheme. Not gonna lie, I think it would've been really interesting to see this young core learning the triangle. Or you can go the other way. Get a coach that knows how to develop today's generation of NBA talent. Let the young guys run wild and develop their individual game. The problem is that Scott is in this terrible middle ground. It's okay to sacrifice rapid development of young guys in order to develop long term fundamentals and teach them to buy into a traditional system. But that's only if you either already have a successful veteran core in place or the system is well suited for your personnel. That's not the case here. It's like he's preaching cliche old school basketball phraseology without any of the substance that used to back it up. He doesn't have a real offensive system. On many plays, the guys have good passing and ball movement but it's just so undirected. It's not getting this group of guys in the positions they need to utilize their skillset. And so while occasionally the young guys might go on a nice run of strong individual play due to necessity and the makeup of the team, overall Byron's imprint is neutering their development. And then on defense, same thing. He's all flash no substance. He preaches defense and has the persona of the hardassed defensive coach that practices guys hard so that they do have the stamina to perform well on defense. But no, that's all undone by just completely mismanaging the roster and running lineups without a center on the court. You need to actually implement a defensive system that utilizes the skills and physical makeup of your team. I don't know man. Byron has to go. I don't know what the answer is, but this is just not getting it done for the either the short or long term success of our franchise.

Hate to burst your bubble, but there are other teams tanking way better than us right now. Philadelphia, for example, is the Michael Jordan of tanking.

Well we're only .5 games back.

The fact we've lost to all mediocre to bad teams so far with the exception of Miami is really disheartening. The schedule gets tougher soon. I really don't see more than 20 wins.

I don't think we are winning a game for the rest of the month, which you can see below of our upcoming games in November. Maybe we can split one against Portland so we got a pretty good chance of having the worst record by the end of the month. After Indiana, we start a 8 game road trip (in 12 days) at Philly. It may be a long, long season.

Russell needs to get the word that the Laker faithful are in his corner. This is by far the worst coaching job I've witnessed. He has to be fired.

I wrote that at the end of the first half, unfortunately. The fourth quarter was horrendous so I take it all back.
