If it pays off in the long run, like patience did with Bynum, it's clearly worth it. I know we want to be better now, I'm guilty of impatience myself, but I think we have to look at it more that way. Bynum needed time, for his body to catch up to the NBA, to catch up to the speed of of the game, and if not for the injuries he'd most likely be the best C in the game right now. The FO saw something special there though, and they were right. We could have ended up with Sean May, ugh.

dude looks terrified, and stu is right on point: he's just refusing to put any pressure on the defense. it's all confidence, and he currently has none. wish we could transfer some of kobe or swaggy's over.

He had a nice little stretch to start the 3rd qtr. I'd love to see him on a running team with teammates who filled the lanes and were expecting the passes.

Pretty much. 7 points and six assists in 20 minutes. Can't really complain too much other than shooting too many jumpers. Needs to be more aggressive on screen and rolls and attack off the dribble.

Russell is getting there. Made some great passes. I would like to see him drive to the basket more like we talked about in the game day chat.

He had a good stretch there in the second half.
Otherwise he looks like he's thinking way too much. He is settling for that mid range jumper after the screen, he should try to attack the basket and get some free throws. Getting there though and looked much better than Mudiay tonight.

Dude is so young. I'll give him about a year and a half before I expect to see any real contribution and consistency.

Some sweet passing and a few very nice looks out there. I like the chemistry that is developing with the starters. If Kobe can just lay off the threes they will really be in good shape.

The thing right now with Russell is that he seems to be just another guy...has not had any kind of a dominant performance even for stretches...he looks terrified to me and it seems like he isn't close to ready to contribute right now.

His passing is good and everything else is mediocre at best. His D is suspect, his J is suspect, his athleticism is suspect, he can't really take it to the rim, he can't put pressure on either end, he doesn't yet organize the offense etc.

I thought he played pretty solid defense last night for the most part. I only remember Mudiay hitting one shot on him and that was kinda of a fluke.

^ well Lou and Clarkson were making things happen, and they deserved to play over D'Angelo who had another pedestrian performance imo.

Russell should have played over Kobe but Clarkson would then pick up Gallo who just lit up the Mamba with impossible shots

must suck for Russell to watch mudiay get to play through error after error while his team wins ball games.
