Yeah, but again, he'll improve. He's a hardworking kid with the desire to be great.

I said it in the chat and I'll say it again if this kid ever gets a jump shot he can be a dominant power forward. His energy was great all night. Was all over the boards, running the court, being aggressive, getting great position, finishing strong in the paint. Just gotta keep working on that jumper and those free throws.

This guys is stud! So glad we didn't trade him for Cousin. When he finally develops that jump shot like Griffin did, he will be unstoppable.

Julius says the offense isn't the problem, it's the defense. While I agree that might be the bigger problem, the offense isn't all roses either.

He played really well, the only one that came out ready it seemed. Gotta work on the FT's and using the glass more at the hoop, but those aren't huge things. I'm impressed with his rebounding, he already looks much improved there from last season, or even summer league.

Beast tonight! All the way. He was the bright spot out there for sure. And yes, work on those free throws young man! It was also nice to see him knock down that straight away jumper near the top of the key as well.

His chemistry with D-Lo in the 2nd half is starting to get there. They played a nice two-man game and got the lead down to 8. I like what I see moving forward... the coach however is the roadblock for these two (and JC)

Always one of my favorite players.

Couldn't help, but feel good for the guy when he finally got that ring. From being a young, skinny kid who didn't look like he'd make it in the league to being one of the greatest players of this era and a first ballot Hall of Famer.

The more we get Randall, JC, and Russell on the floor together the better IMO.

Do we want him to really beast out this much. I'm starting to think we may get to keep our pick. It is top 3 protected.

^ We need SOMETHING to get FAs excited about LA. Right now there's two things that a prospective FA would like about LA's roster: 1. Kobe is gone this summer and 2. Julius looks like an absolute monster. Other than that? Hibbert is okay. Clarkson is good. Russell is raw. The bench looks alright, but no defense whatsoever. Also Byron is a bad coach so there's that.

Back to Julius though: this is exactly what I pictured when I saw him last pre-season. This kind of impact is something he's capable of most nights. Sure, this team has no interior defense but how many teams have multiple guys capable of guarding Julius? Sacramento was tough on him, but I think that's an anomaly in this league. Besides, it's important that when Julius sees defenses that are too soft for him, he takes charge.

A few things he needs to work on: obviously his shot. I think his shot off the catch is a lot better than off the dribble, so there's that. His right hand, but for now it's good enough that he can drive right even if he's not finishing with his right. Go right, up fake, get a foul. Eventually the finish will come. His defensive effort, especially help defense, is not good enough. He almost never challenges shots inside and he needs to do that more often. If someone gets past Roy they know they've got a wide open layup and no one is going to do anything about it. Lastly, when he makes his moves inside he has a variety of awkward releases and I'd like to see him focus on just one or two releases and perfect them. He misses some chippies trying to get too cute with the ball.
