This is a good time for him to grow into a leadership role, but it's not his nature it appears, or he's not comfortable in that role quite yet.

I think he'll get there, and maybe losing winnable will push him there faster.

More like if we want to play uptempo, Byron should be fired for not building the defense around Hibbert.

Looks frustrated and kinda apathetic in his postgame. Great.

The fact that he wasn't in the game at the end of it is something else. If you're future is Clarkson, Randle, and Russell, you should play them together, period. Oh, wait, I forgot, we're developing Lou Williams...

He kept saying he honestly didn't know what else to say. Basically you can only repeat yourself so much. When you lose like this 3 games in a row, no real gameplan on offense, bad defense, bad coaxing , what CAN you say. He gave the standard answers because he can't say "we are poorly coached out there".

Why can't he say that? That would be fan-f***ing-tastic.

    Professionalism I guess. Class.

He certainly doesn't owe Byron anything though, he held him back last season until he was forced to play him. Byron can say he made him tougher by doing that, but I'm not buying, he already had a chip on his shoulder.

What do you guys think of this...

    Clarkson at the 1
    Lou at the 2
    kobe 3

Bring huertas off the bench as a 1
Bring Russell off the bench as the 2. Less pressure and it he can shoot the rock off the ball.

I think the Lakers play better with clarkson at the 1. Offensively and defensively
I don't think its fair to throw this kid in at PG at 19.

I think that would mean we totally screwed the pooch with our unbelievably good fortune in landing the 2nd pick.

However I do agree that with Clarkson's breakout year last year and looking like he could actually be a really good point / combo guard and with bringing Huertas in we would have only needed a decent vet min 3rd string PG and then could have drafted Jahlil or that tall skinny cat that is going to be really good for the Knicks. Good big man over good little man.

Don't like the idea of Russell at the 2, off the bench or starting, I don't like it. He's wasted there, if he doesn't have the ball in his hands, controlling things and learning out there, he's standing in the corner wasted. Huertas and Russell are redundant. You have Lou and Young as spot up shooters with him. Clarkson plays the 1 fine, but I want to see Russ there, he needs time, that's the only way he's going to get used to the NBA and get better.

No thanks. How about we just use these guys the way they should be used in the lineups we all called for over a month ago?

    Russell
    Clarkson
    Kobe
    Randle
    Hibbert

    Huertas
    Lou
    Nick
    Bass
    Black

What's so hard about that? I'd even accept one of Byron's dumb line changes if he subbed in those five instead of Kelly/Bass.

There is absolutely NO reason why these aren't the go to lineups every night. If Byron really feels the need to stretch at the 4 because of match ups then I could see Kelly getting a shot. But that's in place of Bass, not alongside him! Get it together Byron.

Our starting line up is the right guys, we just need Randle, Clarkson and Russell out there 36-38 min each. They will develop chemistry and tempo. They should always be finishing games. I dont want any holding back on Russell. Let him find his way.

Because clarkson at the 1 doesn't work?? Cause Russell at the 1 is working? Back up why this isn't a good idea please.

Because Clarkson isn't a true point guard and Russell is pretty simple. Clarkson has basically been playing point guard this season. Russell is playing as an off guard.

The first game he was. Last 2 Russell's been playing PG. Even though Clarkson isn't a true pg, he still plays better than anyone on the team. On both ends.
