October 17, 2015 - Warriors vs. Lakers - Julius Randle Says Draymond Green Can't Guard Him he's got it
He's almost getting better every game. I loved the trash talking too, because he's right, Green can't guard him. But man, he's special, I say it all the time, but I don't know how he went higher than 3rd/4th in the draft. I bet philly would take him over Embiid now.
That's what the "scandal" is about. 6 NBA GMs above us last year chose another player rather than Randle. :snicker:
It's stuff like that what Randle did tonight is what I will miss most about Kobe when his career is over. I'm not trying to turn this into a Kobe discussion, he has is own thread. But what Randle did tonight Kobe has done is whole career in the sense of having this "I'm better than you mentality" all the time with the up most intensity . Some can call it being cocky, others call it confidence. But that attitude I feel is what can make a good/great NBA player into someone Legendary if they have the other gifts and work ethic like Kobe has had. It's stuff like this that I have always said Kevin Durant lacked, he is too nice of a person. As Durant has gotten older he's slowly but surely gotten a little harder, but Randle being already a little cocky and ultra confident, it breathes fresh air to me and I'm sure to Lakers fans alike because we got someone already with some "Attitude" and "Intensity"
Yeah the scary thing? Green really CANNOT guard him. Draymond is an All-NBA defender and he has no shot at guarding Julius especially if that mid-range shot is falling. This is a 20 year old kid and he can completely dominate a first team defender. That is a shocking and exciting statement.
Absolutely great last night . I want and need to see that same aggression every game on both ends of the floor .
Having a guy with his skills and size immediately puts the defense on their heels. It's awesome to watch and something to look forward to watching as a fan. We have a lot to root for this year even if it ends up being a developmental year. What if Kobe ends up being the 3rd or 4th option on offense? Best 3rd option ever? Encouraged fan over here, especially after the last game that was such a letdown.
Yeah the "never gonna be a star" talk was a bit knee-jerk premature. A guy with that level of activity & speed at that size is bound to do something given time. He is moving faster than the game is inside so it is really up to him to dictate how good he'll be. Impressive outing by the lad.
