He will need to learn how to use his strength and his quickness against guys that are as strong or stronger than he is. He had a good game but wish we could have seen it against Favors.

I really liked the concerted effort to get Julius going in the 2nd quarter. They set him up in spots that were much better suited for his game. The mid post where he can bang and then explode around his guy seems to be much better than the triple threat high post where his defender just sags off, daring him to shoot or drive into traffic wildly.

Postups are fine for Julius depending upon what the matchup is. If he's matched up against 6'11 PF's, it's not so great. 6'9 PF's more his size is fine.

Yeah, Favors gave him a little trouble the first game around, and wasn't there to challenge in the second.

I wish Derrick was there again to give Julius that challenge again to find ways to score on that type of size.

Just loved the defensive intensity at 2:32.

We're going to have a lot of highlights with this young guy for years to come.

What can I say, I love the kid. How about that sick pass to Lou! And yeah, the steal on the guard, the monster jam put back on the Hibbert miss, pushing the ball off the break and dishing . . . lot to love last night from Julius.

I thought I saw one on that drive through traffic and layup over the front of the rim in those highlights? Was that a righty? Watched it twice, hard to tell.

    Leave Julius' right hand alone!!!

Yeah ..... HA! Normally I'm with you on Byron catching so much flak. But he's on my s*** list now too for at least a day or so......after being too busy / pre-occupied / not thinking clearly / dumb(?) last night to put Kelly back in at the 5 for brick layer Sacre to give another 3 point option at the end of regulation and overtime last night when we needed it, just for those 2 specific out of bounds plays. Did not understand that at all.

And Lamar Odom never did either. In his entire career! So I'll cut the kid a little slack and hope he continues working on it and that we'll see it at some point maybe in his first couple years.

Completely agree on that... I would like to practice real game situations with real game solutions.. Can't imagine that he would have done that in a regular season game.. I'm realm hoping not. I wanted the win with all that effort being put out.

Julius had a much better game...but still nothing seems smooth of what he does. He needs to learn to play basketball...he has the physicality but lacks the moves.

that step back out of the mid post will be unstoppable if he gets it down. that's the beginning of a go-to move a la dirk's one foot fade. it would force you to play him with your rangiest defender, which would open up the drive with finishing opportunities against poorer shotblockers.
