I challenge him to outplay Upshaw while also grooming him to take some of his minutes.

You can see the difference he is already making...he's going to have a very good year.

Hibbert is showing signs of being a vocal leader on defense. He moved well and looks ready to prove some people wrong.

I liked not only how he protected the bucket but how he also let people know when they missed their rotations. Coach on the court is a valuable asset.

Loved his energy. He's certainly got his limitations, but there's no reason he shouldn't average 8/12 with like 3 blocks or something. That's perfectly fine with me.

His defense was great, rotations have to get a little better from everyone when he goes to help, but his size definitely affected many shots. He's not the most quick footed so he'll need help on the boards.

Man, he can definitely use some pointers in the post. He is WAY to upright, he couldn't back his man down at all despite his size advantage. He needs to use his hips a lot more and be more forceful. Then he can get those easy gimmes around the rim.

I thought he was great out there last night. Very stoked to have him on our team. I actually think they should include him more in the offense. His post play is not bad and if he had more rhythm from more touches I think it would help. Plus he's a nice passer out of the post. Get him more looks down low and it should make it easier for our guards and Kobe in the half court set.

Liked his defense, but thought his offense was weak sauce. Rebounding I'd like to see more aggressive too. Anyone that big should be gobbling up rebounds.

I liked the way he was running back in transition D to start the game. He kind of lost steam as the game wore on.

Zero touch by the basket, flat out awful. Jumper or slam apparently, but I don't think there is anything else in his arsenal. That's ok, just realize it and don't throw up terrible bricks. Some of those were painful to watch.

I couldn't be more happy about having Hibbert on our roster. So far he's been exactly what I have cautiously hoped for. And after the way he defended Julius today, for the time being he's officially in my top three favorite current Lakers

Can anyone post a pic of Hibbert and Gobert together? Roy seems short for 7'2"

Watching the game right now, just saw the Booker slap on Hibbert. Yeah, Hibbert didn't need to push the issue, but I kinda like him sticking up for Randle, and clearly Randle appreciated it himself.

Also, that sequence was funny. Booker got all mad for no reason that I could see, then Hibbert's face was priceless after Booker slapped him, "you don't slap a man!". Then at the end Burks was smiling about the whole thing, possibly at Roy's facial expression and shock, I was cracking up having not watched this in the moment. I'm loving Hibbert on this team so far.

I missed the game today (was sitting a test), but hearing about Roy defending Randle does my heart proud. Swaggy would appreciate that, and Kendall Marshall will be spinning in his '76ers jersey (just googled that, last I heard he was a Sun?). Also the comments Hibbert is bringing about Randle being the future face of the Lakers and being able to play. Wow this is the type of team comradery we need. Add to this that Kobe's comments feel less like the ones last year where he had to scrape the apathy off them. Hibbert is already meeting and beating my expectations. I missed that Bynum size in the paint, and feel this team can rely mesh this year. All I want them is to overachieve and damn it I think they can!
