    LeBron on this team does change things a lot. Add Smart instead of Sexton and I think we’re right there.

    Luka / Grimes / Bronny
    Reaves / Carr / Knecht
    Smart / Jake / Adou
    Lebron / Mamu / Vando
    Kessler / Ayton

    Anyway, time to close the page. We couldn’t have asked for a better star at the time and regardless of the off court rich paul stuff, he was an amazing example of carrying yourself on and off the court in the lakers way.

    So long to the King, good luck at the next spot.

    I’m not saying he’s uncoachable but disagree strongly that he played exactly how JJ asked him to. He started fitting in after he came back from injury and Luka and Reaves had go on a winning streak. He didn’t want to be blamed for messing up our mojo. I remember the headlines saying, “are the Lakers better without LeBron”. No way that LeBron ego could have taken that hit. So he started playing 3rd banana.

    Wasn’t it Rich Paul that said the Lakers had not reach out to LeBron and now he’s saying that the Lakers wanted to bring back LeBron but they didn’t meet with the team because they didn’t want to waste anyone’s time lol.

    He was 80% on coming back and then just didn’t…

    The more that comes out, the more it seems Lebron just didn’t like our offseason plan.

    I think all the optimists can see why he didn’t, it’s reflected in the other half of the fan base that feels really let down by our moves.

    Mercenary player who always puts himself first.
    I’m so glad this era is over.
    Yeah, he brought AD and we got a title.
    He also forced Rob to make the worst trade in Laker history- one in which we are still trying to recover from.
