That would be a fair trade off … we wouldn’t be as good but at least You would be happy and @The Rock would come back. 2 for 1

I'm glad LeBron signed here years ago. I was never a fan, but he won us a ring so it was worth dealing with him being a prima donna, and the Klutch factor. But, I won't shed a tear when he's gone.

so AD is trying to pressure washingon into signing him to a max extension by trying to force a trade for a guy who...is up for the same size extension and known to be a real pain in the a** about it. sure, that makes great sense for washington.

agree with irwin that draymond was going to opt out to sign a longer term deal no matter what.

Washington would let Jimmy expire, or not play him at all next season. They’d trade AD for the picks.

Will Jimmy be cool with that, or would he throw a tantrum like he’s done multiple times and demand a trade?

He’ll throw a tantrum, but just send him home. It’s not like they need wings.

And if Jimmy wants to be free so bad, negotiate a buy out.

Then we could pick him up.
    Wouldn’t that be fun?
AlienCommish would be over the moon to be able to promote “Curry and LeBron to battle New Look Lakers with Butler!”

I wish we could haha. At least you know whatever version of butler comes healthwise, he’ll give you whatever he has.

At the minimum as a buyout pickup, my gosh.

    Klutch leverage ploy

Rich Paul, Lebron, AD, Draymond working in tandem so Pelinka gets scared.

Just when you think Bron might have outgrown his drama queen routine, he swoops back in and proves it’s not true.

I still think the best case scenario is that we have some moves lined up that fill out the roster and entice Lebron to stay at a significant paycut.

But I can't lie, the idea that we may be days away from finally entering the post-Lebron/Klutch era of the franchise is exciting to me.

ya im good on Bron coming back...but only if we have a solid plan of filling out the roster.

If we strike out on free agency AND we lose Bron to a division rival...I mean that's about as bad of an outcome as the Lakers could possibly have and then we'll be at risk of Luka asking out to join Jokic in Denver instead of the other way around
