LOL I convinced one person at least. Plus Walter knows what’s up with that ROI thing in Japan with Rui being a rare “bird in hand” for his international marketing new hires to work with.

There’s no one like that in free agency or available for the Laker price range, it’s more draft your own and develop

Pick me! Pick me! All summer long!

What is Adou Thiero's vertical jump?
Thiero has a seven-foot wingspan and measured with a 41-inch max vertical leap at Kentucky's 2022 pro day. Some have reported it as high as 46 inches.

    SMH!!!
Hopefully, he will get his chance next season.
Also, Rui wasn’t good defensively throughout the season, BUT has turned into our A-A-Ron Gordon so far in these playoffs.
I’m fine with improving the team defensively, as always, but if we trade Rui (or worse- let him walk) and don’t replace his dead- eye shooting with someone who can replicate 80% of that missed scoring, then it will be a problem.
As I said before, I would rather just upgrade defensively at the 5 and 2 spots.
There’s so many different ways our FO could go. Maybe they see Bronny as filling the POA defender role next season? We all know Smart needs to return, but he can’t be asked to contain the quick ball handlers that always carve up our D.
It will be even more clear after we battle OKC, who needs to go and who needs to be targeted.

OKC are going to be missing their second best player. If we have Luka and Reaves and a healthy squad, then all I want is to be competitive. Even if that means we only win 1 game but aren’t getting blown out.

I’d then consider bringing everyone back. OKC will lose pieces this summer and then more the following. If we add a 5th starter preferably a 3&D wing to go with Luka, LeBron, Reaves, Ayton, Kennard, Rui, Jake & Hayes - I’d say we’d be a 60 win team. At that point a bit of health and luck and we’re in the finals.

All true, but it better be an excellent 3&D player. And you forgot Smart. You do not want to forget Smart. ;) That team is 10 deep and is probably a legitimate contender if everyone is healthy.

I'd like to keep Smart, Luke, and Rui. Basically anyone that elevates their play in the playoffs in a keeper. I could care less if they are bums during the regular season. Rui has proven to be a playoff performer.

That’s what I’m saying… if we didn’t allow Horry or Fish to coast the regular season we will not have those classic clutch moments
