I didn’t even catch this before, such a smart vet. Separately, that tech they called on him for “elbowing” Thompson was ridiculous and should be rescinded
If he plays like this against OKC and the Lakers get Reaves/Luka back, it's going to be a very interesting series.
That boy put his body on the line for this one. I hope he's able to go in the next one. Texas Ranger tough! Salute
He's in pretty good company Fact that no one has done that 35 years in a playoff game just speaks to the insane level of difficulty
Look up "built for this s***" and you'll see a picture of Marcus. We haven't had this since playoff 'Do. I think 'Do had the Xs & Os advantage, but Marcus has a lot more left in the tank.
Can we all stop whining about Jordan Goodwin. The right moves were made. Including not waiving (LOL oh sure) Bronny. Next season he too may be a more impactful player, even off the bench. Out on a limb there I know. But compared to the branch already snapped and dropped them 30 feet, zero logic, "Bronny will NEVER be an NBA player" types .... why should I worry?
Dude is just a beast. Great pickup this summer and Smart gives us the edge we need desperately. I hope Luka can heal up and we can see everyone relatively healthy soon. I want to see how we look all together in the playoffs.
i think the slow mo replays do kind of make things look like flops when they aren't. there is a delay between when you get hit and when you really register the impact. that said, that play was clearly unintentional and not malicious at all. had sheppard not missed the ft, i was going to be pretty mad, as it seemed like they were trying to give houston a point there.
NBA: Marcus Smart committed lane violation on key FT late Los Angeles Lakers guard Marcus Smart should have been called for a lane violation on his free throw attempt late in the fourth quarter of L.A.'s eventual 112-108 overtime win in Game 3 of their first-round series with the Houston Rockets, the NBA announced Saturday. In the league's Last Two Minute Report, the NBA deemed that Smart stepped over the line before the ball reached the rim on his free throw that cut the Rockets' lead from four to three with 25.5 seconds left in the fourth. Smart went to the line for three free throws after he was fouled while attempting a 3-pointer. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/48592882/nba-marcus-smart-committed-lane-violation-key-ft-late
f*** off, NBA. THAT you see?!?!!? And the rest of the blatant incompetence is getting normalized? f*** RIGHT OFF
