I agree with you, getting down on Lebron for simply stating the fact of the matter. He didn't say he is the smartest player ever or anything, just that he and Luke are both cerebral smart players.

:D We gotta keep this guy if he can be re-signed at a reasonable price.

Would be insane to not give him a contract this summer.

If he wants I’m confident the Lakers will pay him. He’s a player the Lakers have needed for a while.

Kobe like effort with the index finger of Luke’s shooting had taped and real tender and he goes out and handles the ball like that, play makes and hits 5 straight from deep. Considering what he’s said about the Lakers and being on this team no doubt that was the pinnacle of his career … best game of his life. Really happy for him. He’s such a an mart player.

Kennard was on fire tonight, but it was no fluke. Even if he didn't go 5-5 from 3, he could have gone 2-5, and it would have been an entirely sustainable line of 18 pts, 40% from 3, 50% from 2, and we still would have won. (Yes, we won by 9, but were up double digits almost the entire 4th, including the last minute, until they let Eason score a meaningless layup with 15 seconds left.)

And that's with the Rockets game planning for him as the Lakers 2nd best offensive player, since Luka and Austin are out. He gets some of their best defenders on him, and is still doing this. Even when Durant comes back, that will help the Rockets offense, but it wouldn't affect the defense played vs Kennard much, apart from the rare occasional switch.

As a starter, since Luka and Austin went down, Kennard has been averaging 17.0 pts, 6.8 asts, 5.0 rebs, 1.8 stls, and 1.8 3's on 50% 3P%, 50% 2P%, and 84% FT%, with a +5.2/gm +/-. (Not counting the Utah blowout where they rested him and only played 11 min.)

If we don't resign him, we are dumber than Wizards

Absolutely. If Luka Nard is not re-signed I will go berserk.
