I have a theory. Bron wanted to defer ever since AD, but AD was a bum (as the 1st option), so Bron didn't.

Now, Luka isn't a bum. Took Bron almost a season to make sure

Don't really care about the great offensive game. Defensively he put on a master class. It won't show up on the stat sheet in steals or blocks or rebounds, but he was defending Thompson, KD, Sengun and just quarterbacking our team on that end. A real joy to watch.

These refs called a bunch of soft a** fouls all game and they take away Lebron's perfect shooting game by swallowing their whistles? Come on.

HIm and Smart together are a tough combo they both can switch onto most players and both kind of know what the other team is trying to do.

Geeter said post-game it was maybe the greatest game ever by a 41 year old. I don’t think that’s a crazy statement, he was incredible.

Who else comes close? His TS will be a 1000% and he was devastating both ends of the floor.

I LOOOOOOVE THIS LeBron. Don't retire yet, if you are going to play like this.

How can one defend that play with Luka, you can’t really…hopefully they have more of that in their back pocket

    he's been awesome lately

appreciate this greatness, because i highly doubt we'll ever see this kind of longevity again in any of the major pro sports leagues

I noticed that in the last possession for the Lakers, LeBron could have easily attacked the paint and fed a lob to Ayton or scored himself. If Luka wasn't on the team, he 100% would have.

He knew it was Luka's moment and didn't even hesitate to pass him the ball.

It's good to see that happen. Even in the postgame interview, he said Reaves and Luka will lead the team in clutch situations and the rest of the team have to find other ways to contribute.

In a way, I think he always meant to give AD the reigns but realized early on that AD wasn't that type of player. Not that AD didn't want to be but he wasn't capable of it. He's seen enough that Luka is and has gone beyond what you would expect to help Luka. 13 FGA per game the past 8 games. He's not worried about scoring himself.

LOL I remember when we both used to laugh at all the random **** errr .... stats ... Basketball geeks come up with. Still though, that is damn impressive. And what's so great about Lebron operating off ball now with both AR and Luka healthy, and not having to exert himself playmaking and creating his own shots so often, is all the extra energy it gives him to use on defense now. At 41 years old. Dude IS definitely still a force there.

Is anyone noticing that he's trying to keep his FG% up and only taking easy shots?

Do you guys think it might have something to do with him trying to ease into that role and not force old habits? genuinely looked like he was allergic to shooting the ball and was playing hot potato for most of the game.

I think he is actively trying to rein things in. He realises that he doesn't need to create the offence anymore, so now he is playing the Draymond role.

If you notice, when he gets the ball, he is making a decision in 2-3 seconds. It's either; pass to an open man, attack the basket, shoot the shot or reset to the primary ball handler.

James is playing the Magic Johnson role...orchestrating and controlling the tempo.

A triple double in the 2nd night of a b2b is insane. We're witnessing absolute greatness

Just got a notification with an headkine of him "silencing the critics that say Lakers are better without him". Means he's hearing the chatter (and the bloody stats) which is great, because he's clearly the guy that needs to adjust and seems to have done so the last couple games. It's great to see, Bron's ego is huge and we have everything to benefit off it in this current context
