And Kevin Love is #7... Top 6 is going to be a combination of LeBron, CP3, Blake, Westbrook, Curry, and Anthony Davis (they haven't been ranked yet).

On a scale of 1-10, how disrespectful is that to REIGNING MVP Kevin Durant? Is it more disrespectful than ranking Kobe at 40?

I wouldn't say more disrespectful. Maybe equally disrespectful. But that's ESPN's game when someone gets hurt. Rank them low and it becomes a success story when they achieve or vindication when they fail.

Saying Westbrook is better than him... Chris Paul... Blake Griffin... Kevin Love... Yeah right. None of those guys are on his level.

The thing that strikes me the most is how his own "beta dog" teammate is ranked above him... :lipssealed:

If Durant is the 8th best player in the NBA, seven Jordans must have shown up. Because that's asinine.

While I do love me some "bunch of idiots" moments, this is clearly an injury-related demotion. It may be safe to say that KD will take the rehab easy and
won't risk anything. And even when he is back - he won't immediately be his old self.

I don't think that is true, but one could argue it that way.

Funny how people (analysts, coaches, GM's) respect Russell Westbrook's game more than Kobe's when he's been considered a volume shooter and ball dominant with a arrogant personality as well. Also I feel bad for Kevin Durant, I said when Kobe retires I'll take to him as my favorite player in the current league and Derrick Rose second, but he gets no credit. They always place him in LeBron's shadow no matter how well he plays.

The reigning MVP who carried his team when Westbrook was out is the 8th best player??? Wow, BSPN at their best I guess. IMO of the last six only 3 are worthy of top five, Lebron, CP3, and Davis. The rest are top ten at best. When it comes to Durant, no other opposing player makes me more nervous with the game on the line and the ball in their hands because you know they are almost guaranteed to score. Kind of like how opponents felt when Kobe had the ball in his hands back in the day.

Awesome. They need the traffic and those who still go to the espn.com help them continue their garbage being passed as sportwriter's opinion. I never visit that site nor click on the links. They are useless to me unless they are forced to report on Laker championships. It has been a looong time:D

They've become way too much of an NBA mouthpiece. They pimp whoever stern/silver wants to be popular.
