mavs fans are down on AD in the preseason. they like the lively/washington/flagg front line better.

i wonder if dallas will move AD to an EC team (chicago?) to recover some draft assets before this season is over.

i think he ended up playing some minutes at center, and i think utah didn't play kessler, so AD would feast. he'd kill kessler at center anyway, but at pf, kessler's the helper, which could cause issues.

still really not sure about what dallas is doing over there. they started flagg at pg for this one bc dlo was out. with kyrie hurt, dlo's their only nba-quality ball handling guard, and while they're huge, their team speed isn't great at all.

yeah, not super surprising. he came in out of shape basically every year. i always assumed it was due to just injury rehab, but i guess the team felt he could have been doing more.

 

I always assumed it was just @KareemtheGreat33 bagging on him.

 

I really liked AD. I suppose I felt similar in that I just figured he was too injured to escaped the ability to stay in shape. However, I can see this story of him. And I knew he was never going to carry this team. Getting Luka for him was fantastic. AD will be on 2 or 3 more teams before he retires. Luka will likely retire a Laker.

Davis (calf) will be re-evaluated in 7-to-10 days, the Mavericks announced Sunday.

Davis will miss his ninth game in a row Sunday against Portland, and now he will sit out at least four more games.
The earliest possible return date is Nov. 24 against the Heat, though that seems a bit unlikely given how cautious the team is being.
Davis is reportedly making good progress, but the Mavericks will have to carry on without their franchise forward for a while longer.

I think he will be ready to play vs Lakers

 

not trying to pile on, but they need him off the court until he's dropped 15lbs, imo. his body shape and playing style can't have him that top heavy. it's weird to me that after he got his desired switch back to the pf position that he didn't lose some of the bulk he had put on over time (in part to play more center, i'm guessing).

the way he's looked lately, it would have been wiser to just hit the squats extra hard and move back to the 5.
