He just seemed a lot calmer out there tonight than yesterday. Allowed the game to come to him instead of trying to force a play that just ended being a silly foul.

The kid had a great 3rd quarter. Still wanna see him take some shots designed for him, instead of just in transition.

Yeah but then you see that left hand come flying off the ball on his J's 5 seconds too early and it makes you wince. Maybe other types of shots? I hope they can find a way to make that a little better with the ball in contact at least a little longer. Or shoot well and we all have to grin and bear it.

It's summer league, but he looks like a solid, smart pick. He's a hustle guy, and he absolutely can fly, I'm honestly impressed. I should be used to Mitch and co drafting guys I've never heard of before, and learn to be a little more trusting before passing judgement.

Posted in the SL thread and will post here again. This dude will be a fan favorite, a Kurt Rambis with better skills, athleticism, less the nerdy glasses.

Lakers should try to start this guy at 4. His athleticism, energy and hustle a really a good compliment to Hibbert and Kobe as well as the backcourt duo.

Loved his game obviously. He brings a ton of energy to the game and he absolutely flies around the rim. That block on Okafor was impressive not just because he blocked a good shot, but the speed and explosion to go get it.

Seems like the kind of guy we're going to really like. I think there's some room to grow with his game, but I like that he knows his strengths and plays to them. Great pick at #27. I didn't mind the pick because all the other talent I wanted was gone, but it was surprising to hear his name there instead of Anthony Brown. I think they made the right choice.

The best part about Nance is he knows who he is, he plays to his strengths and tries to avoid his weaknesses. With his hustle and athleticism, this pick looks like a REAL solid one.

If we decide to pick and roll we will need a PF that can draw his man out of the lane. Nance ain't that guy. Randle might not be either. Bass is a very good face up shooter however.

Pick and roll works well when all people in front of the ball handler can shoot facing the basket. Hibbert, Nance and possibly Randle are not great best spot up shooters.

This is one of the reasons I believe we will be running the Princeton or some variation of it. It better utilizes the entire talent pool where running pick and roll is great for certain groups at certain times.

Nance off the bench is better bc sometimes we're gonna need a spark of the bench and he will be that guy. With lou and nick missing all those shots since they are high volume shooters Lance will flourish cleaning up the glass. perfect. ..
