yeah, they're going nowhere without irving. once they moved luka, they needed kyrie to carry a heavy offensive load, and he promptly went down. i'm pretty sure AD will look bad on the court if he goes out there with their guard core, especially if they're also committed to playing him at pf during this time (though how is that possible with lively and gafford out?).

oh, it's definitely this. maybe they can split the difference by having him on a substantial minutes restriction.

they really need to lose as much as possible from this point forward.

 

If he comes back too early, he risks reinjury and missing more time.

Not to be Mr. Downer on Beta Man, but that list of opponents isn't full of top tier teams. But they are respectable opponents, and some have beaten us.

Hope he has his best years ahead of him and gets to be top dog again with his own team.

He already has 7 blocks, triple double vs Toronto and it's still only beginning of 4 quarter

 

The problem with AD is that, imo anyway, he doesn't take matchups personally. There is no way he shouldn't have gotten (or went for) anything less than 40 against us. He has all the skills to dominate anyone he plays against. He is too passive when it matters and settles more than attacks. That's why its hard to depend on him as a #1.
