I saw both Russell and clarkson do the patented Nash "keep the defender on your hip, then stop and let him run into the back of you" move to both draw fouls in the first quarter yesterday. Lovely stuff.

Did anyone see JC and Russell show any of Nash's moves!

He looked like he was getting to his spots on the floor with the elbow J after coming off screens or stepping back...just missed them. They'll start falling.

Glad Russell thought he was the best player in the draft. Wonder if he's changed his mind having been on the floor against Okafor. Sorry, it's just freakin depressing.

Wow, its like some of you are expecting Russell to come in here and play at a super star level. 2 games into SL and some of you are let down? Give it time, the game will come to him.

I actually liked the way he played today. Even though his shots weren't falling it's good to see him more aggressive. A lot of shots he missed were due to strength issues. Once he gets in better physical shape he'll be dramatically better. There is no player that doesn't struggle their first times playing against nba players vs college. Give the kid some time he had too much skill to doubt him.

I thought he was way too careless with the ball. Grand scheme of things, I'm not gonna come down to hard on him, but he is gonna have to protect the ball a lot better than that going forward.

I think Russell will be fine, but that doesn't mean we can't critique him.

He stuffs a stat sheet which I've liked about him from minute one. He finds ways to contribute even if he isn't scoring.

But he did struggle shooting and was careless with the ball. I put some of that on our nonexistent offense and tired legs, but still. No harm in discussing a game.

As far as Him vs Okafor, I am done with that. Russell is a Laker and he's got my support. I liked the pick when we made it and still do.

Dude the kids 19 and has the reponsibility of running the offense. Give him a year.

Andrew Wiggins looked like s*** for the first half of the season. It'll be the same thing here

Not just Wiggins. Our own Clarkson wasn't the same player in the 1st half as he was in the 2nd. Kid got sent down to the D league and ended up on the 1st team all rookie team. D-Loading will be fine.

I know it's tough. Watching Okafor tonight with his coordination and size and what he can do with those huge hands on the ends of each arm in near the basket. It's really why I and Lakerjones and some others went the most crazy. He opens the game up for everyone as well and seems like such an easier and more guaranteed offensive attack. Having Hibbert now and Boom Boom Black, and seeing Upshaw for what he can become, for me, softens that huge blow considerably for when we have to match up against him.

But Russell with his leadership and alpha personality and mad skills, while being a little light and under muscled now, looks like he may be a transcendent player, yeah, maybe like Magic or Kobe. So may Okafor. We couldn't have them both obviously. It's incumbent on the franchise now to keep our own stable of high impact Big Men. If we do, I am loving Russell even more that he is ours. But yeah, Okafor.... wow, you can see it coming.
