With time, that trade is going to look worse and worse. Especially if Doughcic doesn't his s*** together.

How exactly? Unless Luka doesn’t return to form that’s the only way the trade wasn’t worth it.

If he does every GM in the league makes that deal.

I'm sure sirron's Dallas friend is right .... they're going to love Max in Dallas. Just a great kid with a bright future ahead of him in the league and extremely well spoken.

Look what JJ and staff have done with AR and Rui’s performance upticks this year TOO. Even Bronny … benefits I would imagine. By the time summer trading season rolls around I have a hunch Dalton Knecht will have matured and shored up his weakest spots to his game and have made himself super hard to want to part with as well. JJ told us that developing the young players was going to be a focus of his because he remembered so well what it was like to be in their position.

Quoting Phil Handy (about AR) … “He’s going to be special”. All Star!! Maybe even with the votes one day to go with his game. Get it Max!

thought his strengths and flaws were on display last night. very good on defense, still not great with the ball in his hands on offense, but good at finishing plays. if he hit the open market this summer, he'd fetch double his salary, imo.

Still don't understand a poster coming into the gametime chat solely to hate on Max. Spewing absolute nonsense like saying Max was committing "turnover after turnover" despite only having 1 TO the entire game. Maybe they just didn't get a hug yesterday and figured randomly hating on someone like Max would get the attention they so desperately crave.

it seemed like a couple folks were invested in the "max sucks" narrative and were kind of disappointed when he broke out this year?

i wasn't in the chat, but max definitely did the same things both good (great defense, knocked down a couple open threes, got into the paint on offense) and bad (turnovers when handling the ball/passing, poor strategy when attacking the basket with a defender to beat) in that particular game.

i guess max haters would be like "see, he's still max" and max supporters would say...the same thing.

All I know is, I’ve never seen a picture of his father, and until I do, I think he’s Kobe‘s secret son. But he has a brother that looks a lot like him, so if he was his secret son, they must’ve really wanted Luka bad to let this kid go.
