    If we can somehow avoid Denver, this team can at least make the WCF as is.

    Need a center for what? Not like jokic posts up anyways. Hardly does. And when he does. This team is capable of double teaming quickly and recover. They have the length and speed to really be an excellent defensive team. Make the other teams adjust to the lakers when every starting player is over 6’6.

    The Thunder, Grizzlies, Nuggets, Rockets, Grizzlies, Clippers, Mavs, Knicks, Bucks, Cavs, and maybe some others all have very large to huge centers, most of them are key players. We also were struggling hard against the friggin Warriors for rebounds a couple games ago. We need a quality center if we hope to actually contend.

    You need a legit center to guard the paint and crash the boards. You say Jokic doesn’t post up a lot, but I seem to recount him playing alot on the post in last two playoff series when we won one combined game against those guys.

    I watched OKC tonight they destroyed Memphis primarily because they killed them on the offensive boards. I fear that will happen to us in a 7 game series if we don’t sign a legit center. You have to bring in Daniel Theis. I mean he’s the best available of not great options.

    Honestly I was never a fan of this trade. While Williams was obviously a good lob threat, his mobility was limited and his defensive metrics were poor for a player his size. I was also worried how uncoordinated his legs looked ie Bynum. I'm glad we dodged a bullet.

    Losing the roster spot was the worst of it. I am terrible with contract stuff, but I do know we still have some options. Our tough scrambling defense will hide some other deficiencies, and we are going to score an insane amount of points.

    Almost certainly we are going to have to beat either Denver or OKC to get to the WCF. We have a better shot of beating Denver now because we are more diverse. Before, if they shut down AD we were doomed. The joker had his way with us anyway but now we will be able to score too. We are in the driver's seat, let the other teams ride B@^%$ for a while. LeBron and Luka give us the edge over anyone.
