Christian Wood Discussion: Waived

Irwin said during the post game for the Warriors game that the Lakers don't expect him back this year.

Also no disabled player exception. Have to file that by 1/15.

Got to cut his a**. We need an abled body at the position. He ain't it.

 

When we find that player, what does cut mean to us salary wise? Could we stretch the relatively small remaining salary if that was advantageous?

 

I'd waive Kief before Wood.

 

Kief is already a vocal bench leader, one of the first ones up, strong cheerleader. He's taking on a valuable Dwight/McGee/Dudz role when they weren't playing. He's closer to Bron and has been a part of his championship locker room. Wood is a second row observer.

Plus there's the fact that if you do have to throw one in the game, Kief has that physical no bs reputation. Wood is Mr Glass.

 

Kief is washed period. We don't need another locker room dude, he wasn't that when he was here. I need to see what the diagnosis is on Wood first. Obviously the team knew we had to get a medical exemption on him before Jan 15th, and we didn't. Besides...folks around here declared that Gabe and Vando were "Deadmen walking " like..just last month!

Because the plan was we were going to trade him. Can't get the exemption and then use him in a trade two weeks later.

New team would've cut him loose and he probably goes overseas next year. Maybe he and JHS can share an Uber.

 

You don't know what the plan was, neither do I. I never saw anything saying we tried to trade Wood. Kief will probably be overseas first. He's washed..Wood is injured..there is a difference.

Oh..I forgot!! You were hyping Bismarck over Wood in the first place. Lol...NAH..I wouldn't take Bismarck's corpse today either! Rather promote one of the 2ways.

Bottom line is -- Charlotte screwed us over, may they burn in hell for all eternity.

The only hope now is for DK to become Klay for the reminder of his Laker career, however short or long it may be.

IDK..I've been hearing chatter locally, that Wood has been looking good for a minute. The same person said, the exact same thing about Vando, a couple of weeks before he returned. We shall see.
