Don’t follow other teams so when I saw we got him like a few here …. no idea. In the only few clips I’ve seen so far …. this one here

    :Kaream Surprise:

HOLY CRAP ROB ….. what an AMAZING addition for this team!! Just perfect including for matching up as best possible length and movement wise in the key area at least with Wemby.

What an unbelievable performance …. executive of the year he has to be for pulling off who we added to the team vs assets and players given up. Was looking forward to Dalton’s career here but now nowhere near as much as what THIS Guy’s going to do for us.

Let's hope that coming to LA and playing with Lebron and Luca will inspire him and get him to give 110%.

We just need to ask him if he wants to be another Kwame or another Shaq?

I don't know this guy at all.

But his stats are pretty good. 15/10 and 2 bpg playing 25 mpg. Injuryprone or not remains to be seen, even though he has missed a lot of games.

I really liked Kneckt, he was finally a shooter with no conscience.

With that said, at the end of the day if Williams is a young decent athletic big that can protect the rim, its well worth it. At some point you need to pay attention to defense and size. Luka, Kneckt, Hachimura, Reaves....all not really defensive minded players.

So from a fit perspective, it seems to be a great deal. You have to give up something to get a 15/10 guy who is 23 and has made giant leaps every season.

I mean I’d probably have some nights where I just couldn’t find the motivation on a 12-36 team too. Can’t be 100% sure, but I’d imagine he’s going to be motivated with LeBron and Luka and Reaves passing to him now. If this was the last Nuggets game he still put up 20/15 in that loss as well.

steep price but I feel this would always be the case after the Luka trade and other GMs seeing how desperate we were for a center.

also, this kid seems NBA-ready unlike Knecht, he's younger and seems already better than Kessler, also a good FT shooter which is not unimportant for playoff basketball.

The first rounder is also a bench seat for now....and Kneckt has played 15-20 minutes a game. So its not like we are having a huge loss in production. The upside is high, so I'll take it.

That is a concern. But if he didn't have that, you wouldn't be getting him for Knecht and a #1 (which is likely a low first anyways).

You aren't getting superstars with those assets. But its a gamble worth taking IMO. Its not unusual for young bigs to be injury prone when they still grow into their bodies.

Who doesn't know him knows 0 ball, to be honest.
Wtf is this trade??? I was not expecting this, at all.
He has been having back injuries, it's a big gamble. I think Charlotte tanking helped, but still. He came back this year and has been playing really well. He had a few guys scoring 40+ on him, but he is the right fit to Luka. Long, athletic, protects the rim and has game inside.
I have no clue what the Hornets are doing. They had Richards and Mark, needed to choose 1 to pay and now they have none. Go figure

If he's healthy, it will be exciting to see him in this team

We did give up a lot, it is a risk with his health and from what I’ve read he’s raw on defense, but if you break it down that ‘31 pick might not be great, and the ‘30 swap might not even happen if we are still really good. I think this is realistically one of the best centers we could have gotten with only giving up small contract players. Like Claxton, if he were even available which it doesn’t seem he is, would have cost the pick, pick swap, and like Rui and Gabe. I know both have had their ups and downs, but both have looked to really be finding a groove lately, so you get the starting C now and you get to keep your rotation intact. That might in the end be worth it if when it matters in the playoffs.

JJ said Zen can't complain about me not running plays for DK if I traded him.

I guess you still have AR

True. Although I imagine AR will take all DK plays, once with Luka on the floor and gonna go back to handling when he sits.
