    Class. Team player. Superstar. AD.

Dallas better appreciate him once they get over their pain about Luka. That may take a long while though.

Aaaand: "class": DAL fans offered refunds after Luka trade. What effing idiots. Like: did they NOT PAY ATTENTION to how awesome AD's overall game is?

Apparently not: way to make your new superstar feel like crap. Fuel for AD? I hope so. (Except against us, of course.)

    eat them burgers big man!

Maybe we see them in the WCF - how cool would that be?

I think it would bring out the best in everyone for that series, and hope the winner would have enough left to take on the East in the Finals haha

AD has always been a class act. It sucks to see him elsewhere....he has practically no weakness except his injury issues.

But I repeat myself....no matter how great he was. He was not clutch. I remember a lot of frustrations with him in the playoffs because he would have 10/8 one game....30/20 the next, then 15/7 and then 28/16....simply when the stakes were high, you didn't knwo which AD shows up.

Luca is different. The guy already has a gazillion clutch shots. He has the 2nd highest scoring average in the playoffs in History.

AD is a top 15 player in the NBA and the best #2 on a team. But he isn't LeBron, Curry, Durant, Luca etc....those sure fire "franchise players" who you build around and who is your #1 option when the lights are bright.

i agree with some of this, but i'd push back on AD not being a playoff performer. iirc, his playoff production generally is better than regular season and thus MUCH better than a lot of folks whom folks would consider to be more clutch.

his clutch ft shooting was becoming an issue, but i wasn't worried about him not showing up for big games.

I'm starting to accept this a little bit more, just barely.

Ludabrow is my favorite player, I became a fan when he first got to the league. I've always had a preference for watching talented big men, going all the way back to idolizing Kareem when I was little, and attempting to shoot sky hooks in the park basketball courts only to launch it over the backboard. I was mesmerized by Olajuwon's dominance in 1995, playing the best basketball I've ever seen before or since. I remember us signing Shaq and watching him play in college hoping he'd be a Laker some day and then it happened, and we won championships. Seeing him get traded was tough. I remember us getting Gasol and being euphoric, and enjoyed his skillful finesse on the court and most recently Ludabrow, who I started following as a rookie and was no doubt excited when he got traded here and knew what that meant, a guy that can lock down your defense and get 25, and contention. Guys like that are rare.

Seeing the skill, the defensive dominance, him bringing us the championship by being the best player in the bubble 2020 and how big that moment was for the city of LA. My favorite moment was him locking down Jimmy Butler in the finals, a PF/center locking down the other team's perimeter superstar and then gutting out game 6 with that potenital achilles injury *shudder*, but people called him soft smh.

I thought with just a couple of updates, like us now getting a center, which for some reason we couldn't do until this week would propel the team as is into contention but it is not to be.

I don't blame Rob for making the trade. When Dallas calls offering up Euro Bron on a silver platter, you have to listen. If Rob says no he's out of a job so I get it. We're set up into the future, we have what looks to be a solid ballclub that will be fun to watch.

I'm still bummed and I still don't love it but I understand, I get it.

He will be missed, and I will root for him in Dallas unless he plays us.

For now, go Luka and go Lakers.

yeah, i hear you. i'm a huge AD fan. fans and media were crazily unfair to him here, and it looks like it will follow him to dallas. but he's an amazing player and seems to be a good guy off the floor and good teammate. felt like nobody ever really embraced him despite being one of the very best players in the nba for more than a decade.

i take consolation in the fact that i was also a huge luka fan before he got here (in both cases, i did not think we'd get a shot at them). but yeah, it's definitely taken some of the joy out of what should be a pretty happy moment for me in my laker fandom. the pau trade didn't involve moving an AD.

Wouldn't be surprised if he upsets our chances, if not this season, then next. He defended damn near everyone on the court trying to keep our crap heap competitive.... major respect to A.D., he deserved the entire focus from the front office and a team built around him...
