@pika1708 , if Dlo can make an all star team because of injuries, I believe Max has just as much chance.
It sucks to see him go because : 1) You get attached to the players your team drafted and it's great that you can witness their growth 2) He is no fool the way he conducts himself in interviews and you can feel he's going to develop into a very good and professional role player in the future .
The kid is a stud. I could absolutely see him develop into a Mikal Bridges or a KCP type of A-list role player that can start on any championship roster. Too bad we couldn't keep him because he would have been perfect next to Luka.
AR in one of the spots next to Luka is pretty special too …. as he often plays like an all star and is the perfect connector type player to make whatever JJ now comes up with work with LeBron James and Luka Doncic in the lineup together. Woooooooo!!!
I'm getting more and more excited as the days pass It is new territory for this team Time for the Lakers to step into a new time and place and bring some more championships home Go Lakers!
May be AR can get back to being the defensive presence he was in his first 2 years. I remember him putting clamps on Booker, Klay and such. He was actually known for his defense more than for his offense back then. Would be special.
You can if K4 is hitting threes @45% which he will in a season or two. IMO, he will be worth the wait.
I still see him playing good D up to his lateral speed capabilities. It’s BS when people paint him as simply a bad defender, often. There’s a lot more than pure lateral speed that goes into it and he works his a** off including against bigger players and yeah always, prior to Max starting, and with DLO … taking all the toughest assignments. Last year there was a game also where he looked great with the job he did on SGA.
Max proved me wrong, was doubting him earlier this year and he turned it around. I look forward to seeing how good he gets.
