I’m in shock and disbelief. Thought AD would have his 3 retired in the rafters. Speechless.

I'm in utter disbelief. Yeah, it must have been AD beefing. Why the hell didn't we just get him a center? I hate the trade. No disrespect to Luka, he's a world class player but AD is a unicorn. Best two way big in the game.

Gonna be hard not to root for AD whenever I see the Mavs playing now, as long as it’s not against us.

I can’t fault the management, you jump at a chance to get a generational MVP calibre player.

Even if it costs you a generational defender.

Thank you for everything AD, most underappreciated Laker EVER. I understand why the Lakers dod this trade, but my favorite NBA player just left my favorite team. Hard to feel very good about it.

I will probably root for the Mavs now in the POs once the Lakers are eliminated.

Thanks AD. Always, always wanted him as a Laker, and we got it. Amazing player and teammate.

AD will be 32 in March. Bigs break down faster. We got a better overall player who is 6 years younger than AD. No 5-7 years of picks, swaps, etc. This is a dream trade.

Abeer said it well, AD is probably the best defensive big since Hakeem with his ability to man the paint, switch out onto a guard, smother them and recover to the paint if there is a pass back to the big. He erased lots of our perimeter defensive woes for years. I’m glad we got that incredible quarter just recently where he went 21/11.

It’s laughable that so many people are saying we got Luka for a steal. We gave up an All NBA DPOY candidate that can drop 30 on any night and a young break out 3&D wing who has been excellent on defence. For a team that wants to compete now, Dallas has a shot at the ring this year if things fall their way.

Outside of only one pick it’s not the most lopsided deal in the world, just think outside of this season alone it will benefit us more, think players will want to come and join Prime Doncic over an aging AD.

It’s a shame we had to lose Christie.

Thank you AD for everything. Going to miss him he is a truly special player on both ends and you only trade him for a great generational player like Luka.

Just like I can't process Luka being traded here, I still cannot picture AD elsewhere.

I respect Doncic BUT not feeling this swap. Just...nah. Thank you for the championship ring. Losing Christie too is a damper. He was arguably our best perimeter defender.

AD has been great this year. But he has also a tendency to disappear in big playoff games.

So it kinda sucks to let him go on a high note.

Doncic though, doesn't usually do that. He excels when it matters most. He has taken a mediocre Dallas team to the finals, something AD and Bron obviously can't get done anymore.

    Championship or bust.

I think the Mavs are going to be really good. AD is an underrated superstar and that frontline is legit. AD may actually get the love he should from the league now that he’s not with us.

Thanks for the championship AD, you were absolutely great as a Laker! Now you don't have to play the 5 as much as you did here.
